- NIAC, #Iran regime’s lobby arm in the U.S., since Sept. 2022 uprisings in Iran, came under increased criticism for its incessant support for the regime of mullahs since its 2002 inception. Yet, it maintains its services to repressive ruling mullahs in Iran.

- NIAC issued a statement and sent letters to Members of U.S. Congress echoing the Iranian regime’s utmost anger against a popular resolution, #HRes100 supporting a Secular, Democratic, Non-Nuclear Republic of #Iran.

- #HRes100, introduced by @RepMcClintock and @BradSherman with 165 original co-sponsors, has now reached over 190. This resolution is also intended to send a strong signal to the #Iran'ian regime by holding it accountable for murders inside Iran and terrorism abroad.

- NIAC statement followed Iran regime’s officials, i.e., its president Raisi, its FM Amir-Abdollahian, & state-run media attacks on the House Members for introducing #HRes100, saying it supports a “terror grouplet,” & its leader who the mullahs say is “despised by the Iranians."

- NIAC, in its February 15, 2023 statement repeats the same propaganda from the regime and arguing that any support for #HRes100, would “harm” efforts “to stand with the people of #Iran as they struggle for democracy and basic rights.”

- NIAC has never been about human rights in #Iran, instead, they have always favored the terrorist IRGC, facilitated meetings for regime officials, sold Tehran’s talking points, justified the regime’s terrorism, or funded the Iranian regime's agents.

- Let’s take a look at the history of NIAC, now lecturing Members of Congress about human rights in #Iran. When asked why NIAC never takes any meaningful position about the human rights situation in Iran, NIAC founder Trita Parsi responded: "human rights is not our expertise!"

- NIAC has consistently opposed any terrorist designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in line with the Iranian regime’s official positions, dating back to 2007, when Trita Parsi wrote: Terror label for IRGC entrenches US-Iran enmity.

- NIAC continued to oppose IRGC terrorist designation in 2017 and 2019 regardless of the continues terrorist activities of this entity.

- While opposing the IRGC designation, NIAC has always called for the terrorist designation & dismantlement of the MEK which is the largest opposition movement, the prime target & main victim of the #1988Massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in #Iran &victim of IRGC terrorism.

- MEK has exposed major nuclear sites of Iran since 2002, which triggered the IAEA inspections of Iran's nuclear sites. It also exposed its missile, drone & terrorism network. MEK and its network inside Iran have been in the forefront of the protests since 2017.

- A U.S. court hearing shed light on emails from 2006 to 2010 between Parsi and several senior Iranian regime officials including Mohammad Javad Zarif, then #Iran’s ambassador to the UN and later the regime’s foreign minister.

- NIAC arranged meetings between Iranian officials and Members of Congress. For example, in one email from Parsi to Zarif, he informs Zarif about the House Members he will meet, and Zarif responds, “Your help is always welcome. I leave the modalities to your discretion.”

- In this image Parsi is seen very close to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, one of Iran’s leading negotiators during the 2015 nuclear talks. This further indicates Parsi’s very close access to senior Iranian regime officials.

- The image, also from Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2015 shows NIAC founder Trita Parsi (second from left) cozying up with Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani’s brother Hossein Fereydoon (right) and nuclear negotiator Majid Takht-Ravanchi (second from right).

- For all of these reasons and many more, Members of Congress, on several occasions, have asked the Justice Department to investigate NIAC's ties with the Iranian regime.

- These futile attacks by NIAC, like in the past, will only strengthen the resolve of the Members of U.S. Congress to support the aspirations of the Iranian people best manifested in the #FreeIran10PointPlan of Mrs. @Maryam_Rajavi as cited in #HRes100. Iran will be free.
