A powerful thread 🧵👇
Before moving ahead, let me tell you that all the data has been collected by analyzing last 12 years polity questions of #upscprelims.
Just trust me because numbers don't lie.
Let's start.👇
As per my calculation in last 12 years, 173 questions has been asked in polity in #UPSCPrelims. Which accounts to 14-15 questions on average per year. So, polity constitutes almost 1/6th of prelims paper.
Now if this is clear then let's move ahead.

Polity is such a subject which can be mastered by multiple revisions. Multiple means at least 4 to 5 revisions.
But, Laxmikanth is so vast, how can one do revisions so many times? You may ask.
For that let's breakdown Laxmikanth based on PYQs.

6th edition of Laxmikanth has 80 chapters, out of which just 17 chapters constitute almost 80% to 90% of polity questions in #upscprelims.
Revising these 17 chapters multiple times can help you to mark 12 to 13 questions correctly with surety.

Here are those 17 chapters
1)Historical background
2)Preamble
3)FR
4)DPSP
5)FD
6)Parliament
7)President
8)SC
9)Committees
10)Governor
11)State legislature
12)HC
13)Subordinate court
14)Panchayati raj
15)Municipalities
16)Election commission
17)Finance commission

You can revise these in 2 to 3 days, if notes are made then revision can be done even quickly.
Other 63 chapters make 10 to 15% of questions. You can clearly see that return on investment is way to poor to give your precious time.
Continued...
Remaining 5% questions are miscellaneous which can not be prepared from any particular source. Hence, to solve these you have to use common sense and micro analyze PYQs. Therefore, do not go on to read PT 365 mindlessly for this.

Instead you can allocate that time for mains preparation or other prelims subject. Trust me it will save you a ton of your time.
According to me this is the smart process to optimize time effectively. If you have any then share yours.
