That night, while talking to his mom outside, 18-year-old Dallas Scott Gilbert remembered those words and went inside the house. He grabbed a knife and walked back outside… 2/
he said he first cut his mom’s hand “playing around”, but it looks like she was putting her hands up to defend herself… then, he got angry and stabbed her multiple times. 3/
Angela Watt Gilbert, 47, ran inside the house as her son chased her with the knife… he stabbed her multiple more times in the back as she was screaming for help. 4/
His dad, Gary Scott Gilbert, woke up and heard his wife screaming. As he was coming out of his bedroom, his son Dallas stabbed him too. They both fell to the ground as Dallas continued stabbing his father until he dropped the knife and his father was able to subdue him. /5
When cops arrived at 11:23pm, they found the father holding down his son as his wife lay bleeding on the floor… gasping for air. She couldn’t talk and died before the ambulance arrived at the hospital. 6/
However, as Gary was holding his son down he told the cops that his son Dallas had stabbed his mother and him.
The father was transported to a local hospital. Dallas received medical care too for a small laceration in his hand. 7/
After confessing to his mom’s murder and trying to kill his father, 18-year-old Dallas Scott Gilbert admitted that he knew what he did was wrong and said he was sorry. He has been charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault.
