🔸 During this time, Mehmood was employed as a 'nuclear scientist' at Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC)
🔸PAEC pretended to fire him for his 'outrageous intent'
🔸 He continued to make money for Pakistan Army by smuggling nuclear technology and arms
🔸 After 9/11, the US investigated and banned UTN for selling nuclear arms to Al Qaeda
🔸 All his assets and bank accounts are frozen since then
🔸 In 2020, Pakistan approached UN begged them to let him withdraw 1500 USD monthly for survival
🔸In 1998, the Pakistan government awarded Sitar-e-Imtiaz to Mehmood. This is the the third-highest civilian award in the country
