"A true multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-gender democracy is the closest thing that we have to the Kingdom of Heaven."
"My faith is why I'm in politics," @jamestalarico told me in part five of our conversation. We discussed the difference between faith-based advocacy and #ChristianNationalism, as well as why he decided to go to seminary.
"I guess I'm just confused why having a rainbow in class in considered indoctrination but not having the Ten Commandments," @jamestalarico says in part six of our conversation.
He discusses the hypocrisy of those pushing religious indoctrination in public schools.
In this final part of our discussion, @jamestalarico calls on his fellow Christians to speak out against #ChristianNationalism. I'm grateful to Rep. Talarico for taking the time to talk with me and his inspiring work!
