Just spoke to a VHP leader who was present in Nuh during the violence. Here is what he has told me:

1. There are claims (by the media and several Muslim handles on Twitter) that the violence erupted because Monu Manesar was a part of the rally. This is false, reiterated the VHP… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

This apparently shows some VHP workers fleeing after their car came under attack by a mob pelting stones.
