PYTHAGORAS & BRAHMINISM

When they ask you what has Brahmans given to this world tell them the Tale of Pythagoras- a greek philosopher who not only created a theorem based on the studies of brahminical sutras but also followed the principles of brahminism all his life.

(THREAD)

1. Clement of Alexandria, a Christian theologian and philosopher, in his book Stromata quoted Megasthenes:

“All that was said about nature by the ancients is said also by those who philosophise beyond Greece: some things by the BRAHMINS among the Indians, and others by those called Jews in Syria”

Clement also goes on to say Pythagoras was a hearer of the Brahmins crediting Brahmins for influencing his Philosophy.

2. As per Eusebius of Caesarea, a greek or palestinian historian of Christianity, in his Evangelicae Praeparationis mentions how Pythagoras have studied under Brahmanas of Bharat & gathered knowledge of arithmetic, geometry, music etc.

3. In the Works of Apuleius, Florida, he writes that it was the Brahmins who taught Pythagoras the greater part of his philosophy. The Brahmins also taught him about the function of body & faculties of soul which goes on to oater become Pythagorean Philosophy & religion.

4. Now here’s a direct proof of how Pythagorean theorem Is a direct copy of Brahmins

As per G.Thibaut, an anglo sanskrit professor of Benaras college, in his work, The Sulvasutras mentioned that the geometrical proposition that has been ascribed to Pythagoras were already known to the acharyas of Bharat and the hardwork of the priests were contained in Paribhasa Sutras of Sulvasutras.

He also shows how Pythagoras Theorem is the same thing that Indian Brahmin Baudhayana & Apastamba had already mentioned in their work and Pythagoras just took it from them

5. But Pythagoras wasnt limited to Indian mathematics.

In his book The crest of the peacock, George Gheverghese Joseph writes Pythagoras Traveled to India in search of knowledge which is why Pythagorean Philosophy & religion resembles Indian Philosophy specifically Hindu Upanishads.

6. “The life of apollonius” shows not only did Pythagoras visited india to learn from Brahman but Neo-pythagorean philosophy is exactly what Brahmans practices like vegetarianism, rejecting wine, not wearing shoes, n definitely not wearing anything made from animal skin.

When Apollonius a follower of Pythagorean discipline visited India & met the Hindu King he explained the king that his own wisdom & is derived from Pythagoras who worshipped Gods the way Hindus did & followed vegetarianism like Hindu Brahmins.
