#WWD2025 : THE TRAILER BREAKDOWN.
There is no doubt that WWD2025 is ONE OF (?) THE MOST scientifically-informed paleo docuseries of all time.
Let's dive straight in! (1/?)
We start of with a wetland with giant Azhdarchids flying past. Portrayals of dinosaurs and their contemporary creatures choking in volcanic ash-covered environments can go into the waste bin. (2/?)
We now see a massive group of hadrosaurs travelling near a river. From what we've seen throughout the trailer, given the crests some bore on their heads, these may be 𝑬𝒅𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔. These live alongside the predator 𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔. (3/?)
A lonely giant risking it all for a love in Portugal. The 𝑳𝒖𝒔𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒏. Emphasis on TITAN. (4/?)
A 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 - the largest carnivorous dinosaur to ever walk the earth - roaming the rivers of ancient Morocco...WITH ITS BABIES!
Given that WWD2025 takes UNPUBLISHED FOSSILS into account, could this be a more definitive reconstruction than others? (5/?)
BABY 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒔! (6/?)
'So what's he like? The other me in the other place?' Both colourations are fully plausible! In fact, an even more drab colour may help the baby trike blend into the undergrowth more perfectly! (7/?)
We see an Albertosaurus battling a horned adversary. Given the little that we can see, is it 𝑨𝒓𝒓𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒔?...Or is it...something else, something bigger? (8/?)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe…
A knightly 𝑮𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒂! It looks ready to take on a harsh, dangerous world! (9/?)
̶P̶a̶t̶c̶h̶i̶ A young 𝑷𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒚𝒓𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊, setting off on its first migration. (10/?)
WHAT.
ON.
EARTH.
IS.
THIS.
THING.
...
...
I might NEVER, EVER forget THIS.
...
Sauropod air sacs. Never failed to blow my mind.
Based on the colouration, this is the Lusotitan. (11/?)
'Imagine you could travel back in time. To a time long before man...' (12/?)
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? (13/?)
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? Cont. (14/?)
Two Pachyrhinosaurus decide to do a head butt. They charge at each other--(15/?)
Crash--collided two GASTONIA who also decided to do a head butt. There is actually an additional official still of this scene... (16/?)
A playful little trike bumps into an adult. (17/?)
For the first time, the young Triceratops meets the giant it will one day become. (18/?)
TITANS APPROACH!
Given that the environment looks similar to the speen's neighbourhood, and that it was specified that the speen is in Morocco, we may be looking at the 'Indeterminate titanosauria' from the Kem Kem Group!
THESE ARE AS BIG AS PARALITITAN! (19/?)
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? Cont. Cont. (20/?)
'But this new arrival...is not deterred.'
INSERT <Dreadnoughtus – Anže Rozman, Kara Talve> (21/?)
A clash between two speens! (22/?)
Yeah. That claw we saw in the teaser is DEFINITELY the speen's. (23/?)
𝑼𝒕𝒂𝒉𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒐𝒓. Fully-feathered. Lipped. Armed with lethal weapons! (24/?)
Move over, Jurassic Fight Club. The best Utahraptor vs Gastonia sequence is here at WWD2025. (25/?)
Azhdarchids...ALWAYS baby eaters.
𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒌𝒐𝒏 attacks the baby trike! Will our little cutie survive? (26/?)
Lightning streaks through the sky. A herd of migrating Pachyrhinosaurus huddle together in alarm. What disaster awaits them? A forest fire? A massive flood? (27/?)
Fight back! Fight back, montie! Fi--NOOOOOOO!!!
The attacker is an Albertosaurus, by the way. (28/?)
A forest fire. Are these Utahraptors fleeing? Or are they taking advantage of the flames and looking for prey? (29/?)
The stout Gastonia can't run fast enough to escape the flames, ash and heat. Is this its doom?...Or can it find a way out? (30/?)
Lusotitan.
So...This is the sunset shot? (31/?)
It's like watching a mother duck leading its ducklings...A 14 metre-long 'mother duck'.
I've got to say this: SPINOSAURUS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL ANIMAL. (32/?)
Time for bed...
Yeah. That snout with exposed teeth we saw in the teaser is DEFINITELY the speen's. (33/?)
Could this be a mating ritual? (34/?)
Nuzzling through the ages. (35/?)
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? Cont. Cont. Cont. (36/?)
Hey, we got a frontal shot of the monties! (37/?)
Yeah. That eye we saw in the teaser is DEFINITELY the--trike's?
The large scales surrounding the eye look just like those of the adult trike (see 18th post of this thread!). Given that we know that at least one trike has this colouration, this eye is likely the trike's. (38/?)
'The Enfluffening will come!' (39/?)
'No, it won't'. --Gastonia
(40/?)
Gosh, that's really painful! (41/?)
Now we know how the intraspecies battle between the speens broke out. It started when one speen attempted to snatch an Onchopristis from the other!
I will get to the Onchopristis. Wait...(42/?)
'A youthful Triceratops battling a ravenous 𝑻𝒚𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒙 in North America'
The trike has reached adulthood. Its frill has assumed beautiful colours! Could this be a male? (43/?)
ATTENTION! ATTENTION! SAWSKATE ONCHOPRISTIS! *SAWSKATE* ONCHOPRISTIS!
I'M NOT DISAPPOINTED! THIS IS WONDERFUL! (44/?)
And then a speen took it. (45/?)
'He’s r i g h t behind me, isn’t he?' (46/?)
< To Be Continued |\|
(47/?)
I shall end this thread with a better look at the WWD2025 rex.
Lola Post Productions who made the VFX for WWD2025 (and also Dinosaurs the Final Day) really improved massively over the past three years, and has made a FEAST for us! (48/48)
BONUS:
Hey...is that...can that be...
(49/48)
IT'S NOT OVER YET!
