#WWD2025 : THE TRAILER BREAKDOWN.
There is no doubt that WWD2025 is ONE OF (?) THE MOST scientifically-informed paleo docuseries of all time.
Let's dive straight in! (1/?) Image
Image
Image
Image
We start of with a wetland with giant Azhdarchids flying past. Portrayals of dinosaurs and their contemporary creatures choking in volcanic ash-covered environments can go into the waste bin. (2/?) Image
We now see a massive group of hadrosaurs travelling near a river. From what we've seen throughout the trailer, given the crests some bore on their heads, these may be 𝑬𝒅𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔. These live alongside the predator 𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔. (3/?) Image
A lonely giant risking it all for a love in Portugal. The 𝑳𝒖𝒔𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒏. Emphasis on TITAN. (4/?) Image
A 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 - the largest carnivorous dinosaur to ever walk the earth - roaming the rivers of ancient Morocco...WITH ITS BABIES!
Given that WWD2025 takes UNPUBLISHED FOSSILS into account, could this be a more definitive reconstruction than others? (5/?) Image
BABY 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒔! (6/?) Image
'So what's he like? The other me in the other place?' Both colourations are fully plausible! In fact, an even more drab colour may help the baby trike blend into the undergrowth more perfectly! (7/?) Image
Image
We see an Albertosaurus battling a horned adversary. Given the little that we can see, is it 𝑨𝒓𝒓𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒔?...Or is it...something else, something bigger? (8/?)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe…Image
A knightly 𝑮𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒂! It looks ready to take on a harsh, dangerous world! (9/?) Image
̶P̶a̶t̶c̶h̶i̶ A young 𝑷𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒚𝒓𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊, setting off on its first migration. (10/?) Image
WHAT.
ON.
EARTH.
IS.
THIS.
THING.
...
...
I might NEVER, EVER forget THIS.
...
Sauropod air sacs. Never failed to blow my mind.
Based on the colouration, this is the Lusotitan. (11/?) Image
'Imagine you could travel back in time. To a time long before man...' (12/?) Image
Image
Image
Image
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? (13/?) Image
Image
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? Cont. (14/?) Image

Image
Two Pachyrhinosaurus decide to do a head butt. They charge at each other--(15/?) Image
Crash--collided two GASTONIA who also decided to do a head butt. There is actually an additional official still of this scene... (16/?) Image
Image
A playful little trike bumps into an adult. (17/?) Image
For the first time, the young Triceratops meets the giant it will one day become. (18/?) Image
Image
TITANS APPROACH!
Given that the environment looks similar to the speen's neighbourhood, and that it was specified that the speen is in Morocco, we may be looking at the 'Indeterminate titanosauria' from the Kem Kem Group!
THESE ARE AS BIG AS PARALITITAN! (19/?) Image
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? Cont. Cont. (20/?) Image
Image
'But this new arrival...is not deterred.'
INSERT <Dreadnoughtus – Anže Rozman, Kara Talve> (21/?) Image
Image
A clash between two speens! (22/?) Image
Yeah. That claw we saw in the teaser is DEFINITELY the speen's. (23/?) Image
Image
𝑼𝒕𝒂𝒉𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒐𝒓. Fully-feathered. Lipped. Armed with lethal weapons! (24/?) Image
Move over, Jurassic Fight Club. The best Utahraptor vs Gastonia sequence is here at WWD2025. (25/?) Image
Azhdarchids...ALWAYS baby eaters.
𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒌𝒐𝒏 attacks the baby trike! Will our little cutie survive? (26/?) Image
Image
Lightning streaks through the sky. A herd of migrating Pachyrhinosaurus huddle together in alarm. What disaster awaits them? A forest fire? A massive flood? (27/?) Image
Fight back! Fight back, montie! Fi--NOOOOOOO!!!
The attacker is an Albertosaurus, by the way. (28/?) Image
Image
A forest fire. Are these Utahraptors fleeing? Or are they taking advantage of the flames and looking for prey? (29/?) Image
The stout Gastonia can't run fast enough to escape the flames, ash and heat. Is this its doom?...Or can it find a way out? (30/?) Image
Image
Lusotitan.
So...This is the sunset shot? (31/?) Image
It's like watching a mother duck leading its ducklings...A 14 metre-long 'mother duck'.
I've got to say this: SPINOSAURUS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL ANIMAL. (32/?) Image
Time for bed...
Yeah. That snout with exposed teeth we saw in the teaser is DEFINITELY the speen's. (33/?) Image
Image
Image
Could this be a mating ritual? (34/?) Image
Nuzzling through the ages. (35/?) Image
Image
Image
This looks familiar. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE? Cont. Cont. Cont. (36/?) Image
Image
Image
Image
Hey, we got a frontal shot of the monties! (37/?) Image
Yeah. That eye we saw in the teaser is DEFINITELY the--trike's?
The large scales surrounding the eye look just like those of the adult trike (see 18th post of this thread!). Given that we know that at least one trike has this colouration, this eye is likely the trike's. (38/?) Image
'The Enfluffening will come!' (39/?)
Image
'No, it won't'. --Gastonia
(40/?) Image
Gosh, that's really painful! (41/?) Image
Now we know how the intraspecies battle between the speens broke out. It started when one speen attempted to snatch an Onchopristis from the other!
I will get to the Onchopristis. Wait...(42/?) Image
'A youthful Triceratops battling a ravenous 𝑻𝒚𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒙 in North America'
The trike has reached adulthood. Its frill has assumed beautiful colours! Could this be a male? (43/?) Image
ATTENTION! ATTENTION! SAWSKATE ONCHOPRISTIS! *SAWSKATE* ONCHOPRISTIS!
I'M NOT DISAPPOINTED! THIS IS WONDERFUL! (44/?)
Image
And then a speen took it. (45/?) Image
'He’s r i g h t behind me, isn’t he?' (46/?) Image
< To Be Continued |\|
(47/?) Image
I shall end this thread with a better look at the WWD2025 rex.
Lola Post Productions who made the VFX for WWD2025 (and also Dinosaurs the Final Day) really improved massively over the past three years, and has made a FEAST for us! (48/48) Image
BONUS:
Hey...is that...can that be...

AFTER ALMOST FOUR YEARS OF WAITING...#SurvivingEarth HAS FINALLY COME!
Created by Impossible Pictures and TIM HAINES, i.e., the masters behind the Walking With series, will SE be yet another glorious success? MOST LIKELY YES!
TRAILER BREAKDOWN...BEGINS NOW! (1/?) Image
Image
Image
Image
Our first shot is a tree being struck by lightning. This is a scene that may remind you of the Dimetrodon segment in Walking with Monsters, and as you'll see later, this indeed is most likely from a Permian sequence...Though probably not the one Dimetrodon will appear in. (2/?) Image
Carboniferous forests burning...
This forest is a mixture of photoreal VFX and live action elements from a PRACTICAL FX FOREST the team built for the series! (3/?) Image

I CANNOT WAIT. LET'S BEGIN IMMEDIATELY!
BREAKDOWN OF THE FIRST TRAILER OF 'THE DINOSAURS'--a thread! (1/?) Image
Image
Image
Image
We start with a scene taking place (presumably) off the coast of Africa: a shark being snatched from the ocean by a Spinosaurus! (2/?) Image
Image
Note that the Spinosaurus does not have the M-shaped sail present in reconstructions made by Dr. Nizar Ibrahim, and instead resembles the skeletal made by Dr. Scott Hartman. It's also more 'Heron' than WWD2025's Sobek. (3/?) Image

#WWD2025
After some thought, I realised that, in my moment of gladness at seeing a docu that (reportedly and from what I saw) strongly adheres to consultants' views, I have made perhaps my biggest blunder yet. An APOLOGY thread and some explanation: Image
When I posted this tweet, I was comparing the WWD2025 team's attitude towards consultants with the attitudes of some other teams...
Teams that, for instance, went for a completely-off quetz model even when their consultant explicitly showed how to reconstruct an azhdarchid.
Teams that, for instance, thought a scientifically-credible model looked like 'Foghorn Leghorn' and tried to make it 'scary'. Image
