Muhammad’s obituary likewise described him as a mujahid, with prayers for Allah to accept his effort and jihad.
Both were eulogized as having been martyred 'advancing, not retreating' a classic combatant description.
Based on this terminology (in other obituaries) and their family affiliation (see journalists #12 and #13), they are likely members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
