They created a disease overnight to sell you pills.

In 2017, medical authorities lowered "normal" blood pressure from 140/90 to 130/80.

Suddenly, 31 million healthy Americans became "patients."

Here's the blood pressure scam they don't want you knowing:🧵

1. For decades, blood pressure over 140/90 meant hypertension.

Then in 2017, the American Heart Association changed the rules.

They redefined "normal" as under 120/80.

Overnight, 103 million Americans had high blood pressure instead of 72 million.

2. Where it gets suspicious:

6 of the 15 panel members who wrote these guidelines had financial ties to Big Pharma companies like:

• Merck
• Pfizer
• AstraZeneca.

The American Heart Association received $30 million from pharmaceutical companies that same year.

3. The numbers don't lie:

• Blood pressure medications generated $36.7 billion globally in 2024
• Lowering thresholds expanded the market by 43%
• Only 4.2 million actually needed drugs, but 31 million got labeled as "sick"

They manufactured patients to sell more pills.

4. What they're not telling you about blood pressure medications:

• 18% higher risk of kidney injury
• 60% higher stroke risk with some ACE inhibitors
• Cognitive decline in elderly patients
• 71% increased macular degeneration risk

The "cure" might be worse than the condition.

5. The dirty secret?

Cheap diuretics work better than expensive new drugs.

The 2002 ALLHAT trial proved diuretics (costing pennies) were more effective than newer medications.

Yet doctors prescribe the expensive ones that Big Pharma pushes.

6. Your blood pressure naturally rises with age due to arterial stiffness.

What used to be "100 plus your age" is now considered pathological.

They've pathologized normal aging to create lifelong customers.

7. Most "high blood pressure" is actually poor blood flow and lifestyle issues:
