Qatar: The Tiny Emirate that Corrupts the World in the Name of Hamas
A Microstate Built on Exploitation
With fewer than 300,000 citizens and nearly three million migrant workers living under a quasi-feudal system, Qatar is a demographic dwarf and a gas giant. Its wealth stems from energy rents and from the systematic exploitation of foreign laborers who built its skyscrapers, stadiums, and highways. The 2022 World Cup, sold to the world as a triumph of modernity, was in truth a monument to servitude: stolen wages, deaths on construction sites, and lives destroyed in silence.
But Qatar’s scandal does not stop at its borders. It has exported corruption and influence on a global scale, buying the complicity of universities, politicians, and media outlets, while simultaneously protecting and financing the most violent terrorist movements of our time.
Financing Terrorism: A Persistent Pattern
For decades, Doha has played a duplicitous role. In 2014, the U.S. Treasury denounced Qatar as a “permissive jurisdiction for terrorist financing.” In June 2017, President Donald Trump went further, declaring Qatar “a long-time funder of terrorism at a very high level.”
It is not by chance that Hamas leaders found sanctuary in Doha. Khaled Meshaal resides there in luxury, while Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’s political bureau, lived in Qatar until his assassination in Tehran in 2024 — he was buried in Doha, symbolizing the emirate’s unbreakable bond with terrorism. Every time a hostage negotiation emerges, Qatar positions itself as a “mediator.” But the truth is simple: it mediates because it harbors the very criminals holding the hostages.
Soft Power and the Corruption of Western Elites
Qatar’s billions have flooded Western institutions, particularly American universities. Georgetown, Northwestern, Texas A&M, and Cornell have all established campuses in Doha, financed by Qatari largesse. Since 2001, over $6 billion in donations and contracts have flowed into U.S. academia. In 2019, the Department of Education revealed that billions in foreign gifts, much of it from Qatar, had not even been declared — proof of a systemic, opaque strategy of influence.
As documented by scholar Charles Asher Small before the U.S. Congress, these funds are not charitable. They are ideological investments aligned with the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Qatar is the main state sponsor. Under the guise of academic cooperation, Doha has funded the intellectual normalization of Islamism on Western campuses.
Qaradawi: The Theologian Who Praised Hitler
The moral compass of Qatari Islamism was long embodied by Youssef al-Qaradawi, the Brotherhood’s spiritual leader and a guest of honor in Doha for decades. In January 2009, Qaradawi declared on live television:
“Allah imposed Hitler upon the Jews to punish them… the last punishment was carried out by Hitler… next time, it will be at the hands of the believers.”
These are not rumors. They are his own words, broadcast to millions. A regime that elevates such a figure as its spiritual voice cannot hide its true nature: antisemitism raised to the level of religious doctrine.
Al-Jazeera: Propaganda, Not Journalism
Western audiences have long been seduced by Al-Jazeera’s polished image of bold reporting. In reality, it is nothing more than the propaganda arm of Doha — and by extension, the media division of Hamas.
Israel, the only true democracy in the region, with a free press and an independent judiciary, has exposed the facts: numerous Al-Jazeera “journalists” were in fact Hamas or Islamic Jihad operatives. Since October 2023, several have been eliminated in targeted operations in Gaza:
Ismail al-Ghoul, identified as a Hamas operator, neutralized in July 2024.
Samer Abu Daqqa, killed in December 2023, serving Hamas brigades in Khan Younis.
Hossam Shabat, eliminated in March 2025, identified as a Hamas gunman.
Anas al-Sharif, killed in August 2025, confirmed as a commander of rocket-launching cells.
Each case illustrates the same reality: Al-Jazeera staff were not neutral reporters. They were combatants in disguise, hiding behind press credentials to wage war against Israel.
Qatargate: Buying Europe’s Silence
In December 2022, the European Parliament was shaken by the “Qatargate” scandal. Bags of cash, luxury gifts, and lavish favors were exchanged for political influence. The vice president of the Parliament, Eva Kaili, was arrested, and former MEP Pier Antonio Panzeri confessed to having orchestrated the scheme. The episode laid bare the cynicism of Doha’s strategy: buy Europe’s politicians to sanitize its image while continuing to finance terror.
The “Palestinian Cause” as a Cover for War
Qatar parades as the defender of the “Palestinian cause.” In truth, it bankrolls only the most radical faction: Hamas. It has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into Gaza, not to build schools or hospitals, but to dig tunnels, manufacture rockets, and arm death squads.
The “Palestinian cause” championed by Doha is not the cause of peace or of a viable two-state solution. It is the cause of perpetual war, the destruction of Israel, and the glorification of violence.

Today
Doha remains the safe haven of Hamas leaders, the financier of Islamist networks, and the corrupter of Western institutions.
Conclusion: Doha, Capital of Cynicism
Qatar pretends to be a mediator. In truth, it is the arsonist who lights the fires. It finances terror, harbors antisemitic preachers, corrupts universities and parliaments, exploits migrant workers, and disguises Hamas operatives as journalists.
Israel, by exposing these facts and targeting the terrorists hidden behind Al-Jazeera’s cameras, has lifted the mask. The world must now face the reality: Qatar is not a partner for peace. It is the financier of war, the sponsor of antisemitism, and the sworn enemy of the free world.
