Fact. There is no rational reason for the rise in gasoline prices in the USA other than hinting at oil company price gouging.
1)
The USA is self-sufficient in oil. There is no reason for the price of gasoline in the USA to rise based on anything happening outside the USA.
So what is really happening?
2)
Oil companies are raising prices in the USA to build up cash reserves, in case the war in the Middle East continues for a long time. If, of course, the war ends sooner than 3 months away, these companies will be flush with cash.
3)
And they will not reimburse to those in the USA that had to suffer through high gasoline and diesel prices.
So, where will these extra profits go? Well, they will act as a subsidy for European operations.
Again, Americans subsidizing Europe.
4)
Or, maybe there is something else happening. Oil companies operate internationally. Europe has opposed Trump and the changes in the status quo ante that Trump policies of America First propose -
5)
meaning fair trade, not treaties that disadvantage the US and shared defense, not the US playing to defend Europe while Europe spends on better infrastructure. Are the oil companies lying to the American people, imposing a burden based on lies, in order to oppose Trump?
6)
Think about it."
