Roger Froikin @rlefraim wrote, "Gas price rise in the USA - not necessary and intentional

Fact. There is no rational reason for the rise in gasoline prices in the USA other than hinting at oil company price gouging.
1)
The USA is self-sufficient in oil. There is no reason for the price of gasoline in the USA to rise based on anything happening outside the USA.

So what is really happening?
2)
Oil companies are raising prices in the USA to build up cash reserves, in case the war in the Middle East continues for a long time. If, of course, the war ends sooner than 3 months away, these companies will be flush with cash.
3)
And they will not reimburse to those in the USA that had to suffer through high gasoline and diesel prices.

So, where will these extra profits go? Well, they will act as a subsidy for European operations.

Again, Americans subsidizing Europe.
4)
Or, maybe there is something else happening. Oil companies operate internationally. Europe has opposed Trump and the changes in the status quo ante that Trump policies of America First propose -
5)
meaning fair trade, not treaties that disadvantage the US and shared defense, not the US playing to defend Europe while Europe spends on better infrastructure. Are the oil companies lying to the American people, imposing a burden based on lies, in order to oppose Trump?
6)
Think about it."

The Colorado Court of Appeals issued its ruling today (April 2, 2026). The court upheld gold star mom Tina Peters' conviction on the charges related to the 2021 election equipment breach. However, it threw out her 9-year prison sentence and

ordered a resentencing by a lower court judge.

The panel found that the original sentencing judge Matthew Barrett improperly considered Peters' public statements and beliefs about the 2020 election which the appeals court viewed as protected First Amendment speech when...

determining the harshness of the penalty. One judge in the opinion raised concerns about the sentence length on those grounds.

This is not a full reversal or acquittal—Peters remains convicted, and she will face resentencing which...

The subject of “Just War”

It turns out there are significant differences in what is considered a just war that separate Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
1)
Judaism considers a “Just War” as a war fought in defense of human life. It makes no distinction between Jewish lives and the lives of any other human beings. It goes on to consider a war against an existential threat to the Jewish people a “Just War,”
2)
including doing everything possible to permanently eliminate that threat. For example, in the Torah, Amalek, or in current events, Hamas and its ideology, or Iran’s Ayatollahs and their ideology.

Instead, so far, we have seen things
that are of concern.

Pope Leo seems to be soft on Islam, hostile to the USA and Israel, silent on antisemitism in Europe, and

more of a product of his time in Peru where Liberation Theology was fashionable than the beliefs of American Catholics.

This idiot wants to be prime minister. He speaks well, after all he took acting lessons in Hollywood, paid by the people who pay him now, people who want a less-Jewish state.
2)
But is any man who denies that Iran is a threat, that misses the fact that Iran threatened genocide and was building a program to make that genocide of Jews possible, not only disqualified from being a prime minister,

Nothing changed, the war continues. Cardinal Pizzaballa wanted to created a global incident because of Israel's national security concerns especially in light of fragments from Iranian ballistic missiles that were fired toward Israel were intercepted by Israeli air defenses, &
