Imagine had World War II in Europe ended in 1944 after it appeared that Germany would lose, in a peace conference with Ribbentrop, Cordell Hall, and Anthony Eden signing a ceasefire with the Nazis promising to disarm, just to see Hitler and
2)
the regime allowed to survive and make war again once they rebuilt their strength.
That is what the world has done to Israel; in 1949, 1956, 1967, and 1973, and it looks like again that the European left and
3)
the Israeli left that wants them to like it will only be happy when Israel pulls back and accepts a ceasefire, while Hamas rebuilds and rearms, and Iran redevelops its nuclear capacity for a “next episode.”
Face it. Israel gets cheated out of any real victory.
4)
And look carefully at the past. 1949, Ben-Gurion accepted a ceasefire and truce in the face of a British embargo that most of Europe and the USA complied with.
5)
In effect, Israel would be the bad guy to be punished with starvation if it did not help the Arabs save face and allow Jordan and Egypt to occupy land allocated originally to the Jewish homeland and control half of Jerusalem.
6)
Then 1956, Israel sacrificed lives and equipment to help the British and the French against Egypt and now had a buffer — the Sinai and control of Gaza — which made Israel infinitely safer, but under pressure from Dulles in the USA, and
7)
the British government that worried about losing its markets in the Muslim world, withdrew, setting the stage for 11 years later.
And through year after year of terrorism — terrorism that was paid for by the UN, by various nations financing it — what was Israel told?
8)
Don’t attack them lest you start a war. Don’t complain because no one will listen. Look reasonable and European so you will be liked.
And then came 1967, the Six-Day War. Israel was threatened with extinction for two months while the world warned Israel to keep calm and
9)
the UN did nothing. Israel’s ports were blocked, the economy was dying, France, under de Gaulle, chose to refuse to deliver aircraft that were paid for and boats that were paid for. In short, the attitude in Europe was “let the Jews die,” only 12 years after the Holocaust.
10)
But Israel won, on its own, with no one’s help. We all know the story.
And then the USA decided for the first time to help Israel, not because they loved Jews, but because of the Cold War &;the realization that the USSR had captured the leadership in the nearby Arab states.
11)
And then in 1973, Israel was attacked. Europe boycotted Israel 100%, even to the extent of blocking American efforts to resupply Israel. It was clear that European governments were willing to accept Israel’s destruction rather than deal with any reaction from Muslims,
12)
Muslim markets, and Muslim violence domestically — something which since has become much worse.
But why did the USA then rush to help in 1973? To prevent Israel from actually acting in desperation to do what could have killed millions of Egyptians and
13)
Syrians. (I don’t have to define that.)
And that brings us to today.
Will Israel be allowed to win?
That depends on how the events go from now.
Gaza must be cleared of Hamas and any population that subscribes to Hamas ideology, which may mean everyone in that place.
14)
The threat to Israel must be removed completely and replaced by a renewed Israeli-Jewish Gaza population.
Judea and Samaria must be cleared of all those who are hostile to the state of Israel and Jews. The potential threat must be removed now.
15)
This can be done in one of two ways. First, deportation en masse of hostile populations. Second, establishing a peace based on local government being local and national identity of Arabs being as citizens of Jordan, but the establishment of Israeli Jewish sovereignty and
16)
population throughout the area. The game that the world has played — that peace must depend on Jews leaving an area, as Jews were removed from Yamit and later from Gaza — has to stop.
And one more important thing to consider. The nature of war has changed, and
17)
war has become more expensive for a small nation. If Israel is forced to be the one to compromise, to “take risks” for promises that history teaches have never been honored,
The next war, which will happen if Israel is looked at as vulnerable and
18)
weak because it makes concessions and seems dependent on outsiders, by an Islamic ideology that identifies being nice with being weak, Israel may be forced to use non-conventional weapons to completely destroy threats to its existence."
