1/ I'm too young to really remember #HelmutKohl. One of my first political memories is in fact his defeat by #Schröder in 1998.
2/ Germany surely has a lot to thank him for. I also have to thank him on a very personal note...
3/ 1st my daily jogging route takes me across the former #GDR border four times, past the crosses of those who died trying to cross it.
2nd originally from Bavaria, my dad lives in #Leipzig now. A city the entire family adores and where he found his happiness.
3rd I get to live in a unified Berlin with amazing friends and colleagues from East and West. For all that and more: Thank you #HelmutKohl!
