Which IT revolution powered by congress in the 90s you keep taking about ? Frm employability perspective -
1) up until mid 90s, if you were not doctor or mec/civil engineer , shorthand and typing were still most sought after skills to get into LDC/UDC jobs .

2) Up until 1995 only the uber rich had access to any computers . Few pvt schools had couple of computers .
3) ITO / BPO started sometimes in 97. Thanks to some corporate visionaries and lakhs of graduates who were willing to do any work cause they were tired of trying for clerk

Govt jobs or working as medical reps or affiliate marketing like Japan mattress .
3) Govt gave no help to these corporations. I remember one of the biggest cost for these companies was setting up massive generators cause they could depend upon govt even for that

Some of them in Gurgaon even paid from their own pocket to make roads outide their offices so that people could enter offices during rains .
4) They were the ones who trained people on using computers . Most of the workforce had never touched computer before .

5) The amount of bribe they had to pay to get basic computers and telephony equipments imported for initial set up was crazy .
