Today’s vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court was disappointing, with an impact that will reverberate for decades to come. In particular, Mr. Kavanaugh’s confirmation sends a clear message to women and girls: you don’t matter. #BelieveSurvivors#TakeItBack
The GOP has appointed a man who believes birth control is abortion and that abortion is illegal to the highest court in the land, an institution that is meant to protect and represent the freedoms of all people -- men, women, and children of every race, religion, and ethnicity.
Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court will have devastating consequences for communities across the United States for decades to come.
But we will not rest with this decision. Come November, a wave of fierce candidates are coming to Congress, bringing the fight against the long reign of privilege and power to Washington, D.C.
I stand with women and all marginalized communities in our fight to restore dignity, fairness, and respect for all.

Authoritarians and dictators say things like this - countries where elections are predetermined.
We have the power make our voices heard. I believe in our power. Remember the words of @repjohnlewis: “The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change agent you have in a democratic society. You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it.”
The future of New Mexico lies in the hands of honest and fierce leaders. It is my honor to endorse the following candidates for the New Mexico House of Representatives.
@DayHochmanVigil, of District 15, has for long fought for legislation to increase transparency in political lobbying and to fund more career-technical programs in New Mexico public schools.
@joyousgarratt, of District 29, strives to serve each and every New Mexican by focusing on education, healthcare, job development, community safety, and infrastructure.
A fair judicial system is an integral part of the bright and prosperous future that awaits New Mexicans. That’s why I’m thrilled to officially endorse Justice Shannon Bacon, Justice David Thomson, Judge Zach Ives, Judge Jane Yohalem, Judge Shammara Henderson, and @Weaks4NM.
Justice Shannon Bacon has dedicated her career to working for New Mexican families. I believe she will continue to make an excellent supreme. For more info visit: keepjusticebacon.com
Born and raised in Santa Fe, Justice David Thomson has served as a Deputy Attorney General, District Court Judge, and now a Justice on the NM Supreme Court. When reelected, he will continue making NM a better place for its people. For more info visit: keepjusticethomson.com.
Today on #NationalVoterRegistrationDay, we must continue making our voices heard by voting. ICYMI, I endorsed candidates from across my state, who I know will represent their communities to the best of their ability.
I’m happy to endorse the following candidates for the New Mexico County Commission. @Wende4BernCo from Bernalillo’s District 4, @Leah4Sandoval from Sandoval’s District 2, Alexandria Piland from Sandoval’s District 4, and Craig Secatero from Socorro’s District 2.
A lifelong Bernalillo County resident and award-winning journalist, @Wende4BernCo, is the right choice for District 4’s County Commissions office. Her life’s dedication to the truth and to the people of NM is exactly what we need in public office.
I believe New Mexico needs fierce leaders who will fight for their communities. That’s why I’m excited to announce my official endorsement of these fierce candidates for the New Mexico State Senate. @jeff4nm, Liz Stefanics, Daniel Ivey-Soto, @Carrie_Hamblen, and @Athena4NM.
Having served 8 years in the State House, @jeff4nm representing District 36, Jeff Steinborn knows what it takes to continue serving the people of New Mexico. He is a fierce advocate for the environment and believes in government transparency.
State Senator, Liz Stefanics - District 39, has been a decades-long advocate for the working class and believes it’s time to put New Mexico back on track towards prosperity. For more info visit senatorlizstefanics.com
When I ran for Congress, I made climate change central to my campaign and I am serious about taking action – I refused to take donations from corporate PACs or the fossil fuel industry.
I focus my time on climate change because it is the greatest challenge of our time. It is our responsibility to protect our planet. It’s the connection to our Earth that sustains us, and right now, it’s the desecration of our planet that keeps our communities from thriving.
Right now, our country is facing crises that are fatefully intertwined: tens of millions of people are unemployed, the COVID-19 pandemic rages, racial and economic injustice are rampant, and the climate crisis is accelerating. AND we have an incompetent President.
