In this chaotic political climate and a world full of cynicism, it is normal people like Elisabeth (age=10) that are taking charge and making a positive change. Elisabeth was diagnosed with T1D at the age of two.
While most people are daunted by the stigma associates with their disease, she is intrigued by the immunological events that lead to the progression of the disease.
To learn about the efforts that are being made by the scientific community to address these events, she reached out to @Cherie_Stabler and visited our Tissue Engineering Lab @UFBME
