Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the 2019 @AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington #AIPAC2019
"Yesterday at the White House, @POTUS@realDonaldTrump again made history. He formally recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights. That deserves enormous applause!"
The Golan Heights is indispensable for our defense. It's part of our history. When you put a shovel in the ground there what you discover are the ruins of ancient synagogues. Jews lived there for thousands of years and the people of Israel have come back to the Golan.
PM Netanyahu: "Israel holds the high ground, and we shall never, ever give it up. It is part of Israel.
So on behalf of all the people of Israel, thank you, President Trump and thank you for all the historic decisions you have made."
PM: "In recent weeks, we’ve heard a lot about the rise of forces who want to pull America and Israel apart. So I can tell you one thing. I guarantee you this. They will fail.
Our shared values are too deep. Our shared interests too strong. Our shared destiny too intertwined.
PM: "The reason the people of America support Israel is not because they want our money, it’s because they share our values. They just don’t get it.
It’s because America and Israel share a love of freedom and democracy; because we cherish individual rights and the rule of law."

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's remarks at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting:
"We are on the threshold of a new year. We hope that it will be a better and calmer year than its predecessor. We will welcome it together, everyone with their family.
Citizens of Israel, I would like to happily and cautiously inform you today that we have rejected the pressures and avoided a lockdown over Rosh Hashanah. Continue to uphold the directives so that we will remain open also on Sukkot and Simchat Torah.
The fact that we opened the school year on time and that we are celebrating the holidays with Israel open – this was not a given. It did not happen by itself.
"American service members lost their lives while on a mission to save other people’s lives. That is the very definition of courage and sacrifice. May they rest in peace. Especially on this day I want to be crystal clear: Israel always stands together with the USA, unequivocally.
I also want to thank you for your words now and in our private meeting, which attest to your support of the State of Israel. But that's not new, it’s been decades and you've always stood up for us, especially during tough times like a few months ago

We inherited a not-so-simple situation. Iran is behaving in a bullying and aggressive manner throughout the region.
