THREAD: You don’t need to invent something new.

Make a boring products cool (or environmentally friendly, aesthetically pleasing, or more portable etc.)

Don’t make a product to solve a problem, solve a problem that people have with a certain product by making a better version.
Example 1: Boxed water

They took something super boring, package water, and made it cooler and environmentally friendly.

People that are hip and concerned with the environment love this shit.
Example 2: Dude Wipes

Grown men don’t want to use little kid wipes.

Dude wipes took this product, made it funny and almost cool, I guess, and people love it.
Example 3: Lokai Bracelets

There are so many rubber bracelets out there.

But lokai bracelets have rare mud and water in them.

This makes them stand out. This makes them cooler than John’s normal old bracelet.
Example 4: Yeti Coolers

There were nice coolers that stored ice for days before Yeti’s.

But yeti’s are badass. They let everyone know you catch fish and shoot deer.

If you have a yeti, people will respect your manliness. (It only costs you $350+)
These companies didn’t invent brand new products.

They rebranded boring old things to be cool.

They adjusted the consumers perspective and added a new feature or two.

Don’t invent, rebrand and market things to the right audience.
