Fateh-e-Maiwand, Ghazi Ayub Khan (1857-1914) was brother of Ameer Yaqub khan and son of Ameer Sher Ali khan,kings of Afghanistan.The British army was defeated for the 1st time in the battle field of Maiwand near Kandahar. Who burried in Durrani Graveyard, #Peshawar. #MaiwandDay
Malalai was born in 1861 at a small village called "Khig", about 3 miles southwest of Maiwand in the southern Kandahar.
Malalai's father, who was a shepherd, and her fiancé joined with Ayub Khan's army in the large attack on the British-Indian forces in July 1880.
Like many Afghan women, Malalai was there to help tend to the wounded and provide water and spare weapons. According to local sources, this was also supposed to be her wedding day. But Malalai was herself struck down and got martyrdom.
After the battle, Malalai was honored for her efforts and buried in her native village of Khig, where her grave remains today. She was between 17-19 at her death. #MaiwandDay

While hard dialects are spoken from the throat like in Kabul, Peshawar, Mardan

میں جب بھی کسی جانور کو ذبح ہوتے دیکھتا ہوں تو مجھے آج بھی وہ دن یاد آتا ہے کہ جب اس گائے کو ذبح کیا جا رہاتھا، گھر میں سب رو رہے تھیں. اسکی گوشت کو کوئی کھا نہیں رہا تھا . فیصلہ کرنے والے کے ساتھ کئی دن گھر میں کوئی بات نہ کر رہا تھا.

آج کے اس دور میں جب دہشتگردی عروج پر ہے تو جانوروں کا تو دور کی بات انسانوں کا خون خرابہ ہمارے لئے بہت معمولی بات بن گئی ہے. دل سخت سے سخت تر ہو گئے ہیں. وہ احساسات اور جذبات مر گئے ہیں.
