@StevenHorsford's opening presentation consists of achievements by @HouseDemocrats. Emphasis on closing the gender pay gap, protecting ACA, and a public option. He states his supports MedicareX rather than #MedicareForAll etc

@StevenHorsford's opening presentation at his Congressional Town Hall reads more like self adulation and grandstanding. Peak narcissism.

Invoking Mitch McConnell to get an underwhelming applause line. I'm already board. This is just depressing.

Gotta give it to @StevenHorsford, his actions in support of Veterans is on point. Kudos. Especially supporting the elimination of the #WidowsTax.

No word yet on universal pre-k, cancelation of student debt, Medicare for All, Green New Deal, Abolishing ICE, or paid family leave.

Pathway to citizenship and protection for asylum seekers is heavily emphasized in his comments on immigration. Smooth transition into comments on the 2020 census.

Estimated number of Nevadans at risk of being underrepresented in the 2020 census is 55k which would cost Nevada an estimated 20k per person in funding.

@StevenHorsford pitches Medicare Part D being able to negotiate with drug companies on pharmaceutical prices.

Rather than supporting #MedicareForAll, Rep. Horsford is pulling right from the insurance lobby's playbook on preserving their profits.

Rep. Horsford dodged a question on his pulling out of the doggett bill. He failed to address the heart of the question on penalties for #BigPharma falling to justifying their pricing, or refusing to negotiate with Medicare. He now supports the spike bill which lacks teeth

Failing to lower their prices, specifically.

James Allen, formerly incarcerated individual, spoke on his ability to vote after after 54 years in Nevada thanks to voter restoration efforts. @StevenHorsford's response was on point. Reduction of the stigma around the term "ex-felon" was heavily emphasized.

I have never participated in a town hall under a more controlled environment. 30 questions about #MedicareForAll submitted. 1 read aloud and dodged. Despite agreement on a lot 1/2

@StevenHorsford leaves a lot to be desired on Healthcare policy. Very dissapointing.

In closing I would like to state that I cannot afford the public option proposed by #MedicareX. The cap is at 8k annually. I work two Minimum wage jobs and barely make ends meet.

#MedicareForAll is the only truly universal proposal. @StevenHorsford is a vocal opponent of 1/2

A plan that would ensure my ability to receive the necessary care I deserve as a tax payer.
