Me and @shaunking don’t always agree. But he’s still my friend. And I’m a PROUD a Democrat.
But what happened over the last few days regarding the climate change debate within the @TheDemocrats is unacceptable. And I’m not alone in this; the issue deserves a dedicated debate.

I don’t enegage in “the establishment” level debates. But I don’t accept these results. I’m proud to stand with @sunrisemvmt on this issue. I’m an asthmatic, I DONT HAVE A CHOICE. I respect my chairman @TomPerez immensely. Be he is wrong on this issue.

MY party SHOULD be the one that discusses the important issues like climate change and gun violence and be willing to do so directly and honestly, without talking points. I’m very disappointed that our amazing slate of diverse candidates won’t get that opportunity

My job is to work with candidates and party where we agree and push them when we don’t agree. I don’t attack my fellow Dems but they need to know when they make a mistake. My kids deserve a better future free from the scourge that is climate change and gun violence.

You speak of justice. Well, we need climate justice. We need justice from gun violence. You want freedom? How free are you when you can’t breathe? How free is my mom who has been in s coffin for 40 years after a bullet exploded her head. How free is she? How free am I?

If we allow our planet to burn, how precious will your esteemed votes be? If we allow our brothers & sisters to be shot, how important are you? Stand up! Grow a spine. Make sure folks know that we Democrats will fight to fix these issues. But your silence & obfuscation is deadly

How important are you if your water is poisoned? How important are you if your lead levels are worse than a #2 pencil? Don’t give me your “prochoice” screed when our fellow humans can’t drink clean water or breath clean air!

Spare me you “BLACK LIVES MATTER” chants when climate change disproportionately impacts people of color. What will you do when you can’t breathe when you kneel? @sunrisemvmt

When our climate gets so bad that we can no longer live our “normal” lives, what value will your money and power hold? I’ve already have asthma! I don’t want to have a life where I need to breathe thru a hazmat suit
