How Relatable Are You?

And by 'you', I mean your product. Often, business owners are faced with this major road block and they don't usually realise it's a problem to them.

The reason why people spend all their mobile data on comedy skits on instagram is that they want to
See something they can relate to.

For your product to appeal to your target audience,

you have to make sure that the image or picture you're trying to paint in your marketing contents is something they can relate to.

For example, in a certain NYSC camp there were loads of
restaurants with different names & all private owned.

But here's something. One particular restaurant had a higher number of customers despite being in the same spot with other restaurants.

And they all sold same food with almost similar taste. But why is this restaurant
selling more than others?

I'll tell you...

Their secret isn't service or quality of food. Their secret was in the name of the restaurant.

Other restaurants called theirs;
*Mama Nkechi's Kitchen
* Good food kitchen
...blah blah blah

But this restaurant called theirs
CORPER'S KITCHEN

Just this name alone gave them an upper hand. There was no extra endorsement by NYSC. Just the name.

The fact is, every corper that sees that sign "CORPER'S KITCHEN" would feel that that restaurant was specifically made for him/her.

The name was very RELATABLE
If you're a business owner, make sure your audience can relate to what you tell them.

If you sell female stuffs, show them more of females in your ad. If it's a male audience, do same.

Gone are the days of putting a nude girl in an ad for men's boxer🙄.
Make sure you're relatable.

Online course creators always say "I was once like you". This line in their ad creates a kind of trust and shows they can relate to your pain.

Do same for your business

That's it for today. Have an awesome WEEK.

Failure kills confidence!

And without confidence you won't have the enthusiasm to chase and achieve your goals.

Here are 3 ways I deal with my failures:
1. Deal with it: People will usually tell you to "brush it off and pretend as though it never happened"

But you and I know it's impossible. We are humans and we are driven by passion.

When something harms that passion, it's hard to let it slide.

That's why I don't do that.
I take my time to experience my setbacks and carefully deal with every emotions that's connected to it...

Making sure I fully recover before attempting to move on.

Then, I...

2. Get back to the drawing board:

If you're entrepreneur, your drawing board is like a road map that

My freebie marketers are gonna get mad at me for this but I don't care anyways.

Listen...

Instead of giving your prospects mediocre content for free...in the name of lead generation

Why not offer some of your best content for a fee but make it affordable?

Here's what I mean:
Let's say you're a plumber and you're selling a premium course on...

How to fix ALL plumbing issues at home without spending a dime on hiring a plumber or being an expert.

Now, the usual advice is to create a free report on stuff like "tools needed for plumbing work" or
"5 things causing your sewage pipe to get clogged"

Blah blah blah

Instead of that...

Why not create a detailed guide on how to fix water faucets in 5 mins or less?

Then sell this guide for a low price say N3,000

(You do not want to charge too low, so it doesn't seem like

Ben Settle makes millions of dollars yearly sending daily emails

Agora financial makes hundreds of millions doing the same thing

I’ve had people sign up for products that weren't even created yet, through daily emails

Here's a workable system to help you create daily emails:
1. Have a writing routine:

Without a routine, you’d find it hard to stick to your plan.

So the best thing is to create a time in your day when you can sit and craft these emails.

Usually, the best time to do this is in the morning right after your meditation or devotion.

At
that point, your mind is fresh and ready for creative work

2: Learn as much as you can:

For you to have something good to write about you need good ideas and good ideas come from having enough good information about a subject.

Always consume as much valuable information about

Everyday I come across a minimum of 5-10 fresh idea.

99.9% already reek of failure.

And no, lack of capital is not the problem

These ideas just SUCK.

Here are 5 ways to evaluate a biz idea so you don't end up chasing a shadow:
1. Who is it for: before getting excited about your new idea...

Ask yourself "who will this product serve?"

If the first thought that comes to your mind is "every body", you might as well shove the idea up your ***

No product is for every body.

So the first thing you need
to do even before thinking about your product is to find the best group of people it'll serve.

2. What does it do for them:

Now you know your audience, you need to know what your product will do for them

If you can't explain it in a sentence, you might want to dump it.

Don't be a selfish marketer/business owner.

The person you're trying to sell to probably hasn't slept in days

Her boyfriend broke up with her on Valentine's morning

She's on her third diet plan and fifth slimming tea — with no results.

Heck, she's even scared of meeting new
people and hasn't left the house in days.

Forget about your product for a second and show empathy.

Show her that you get her...

You understand her struggles

And you know how to help her

Show her how you helped your cousin lose 15kg in 90 days...

How your cousin is enjoying
her new life and how happy she is with her new guy.

Let her know you truly want to help her.

Then slide in with the best offer she's ever seen.

Back it up with a no-condition money back guarantee

And tell her why she has to act now.

Show her the cost of not acting now...

This is a photo of man shopping in a local Yakutsk market in Russia

Yakutsk is considered the world coldest place and temperature can go all the way down to -64°C (minus)

The average refrigerator highest freezing point is -30°C.

Meaning people in Yakutsk use your regular...
refrigerator to defrost their food😂

In fact, it's said that people in Yakutsk leave their food outside the window for weeks

And when they return, it's still as fresh as new

Another amazing fact about Yakutsk is that you don’t switch off your car's engine—even when it's packed
If you do, every liquid in your car will freeze and you can't move anymore.

(See guy in photo)

My point is, YAKUTSK is Unbelievably COLD.

Now, as a copywriter living in Dubai...

Imagine you've been contracted to sell refrigerators to people in this area?

Are you going to
