This weekend’s G7 summit was another missed opportunity for @realDonaldTrump to show America’s strength by unifying key global partners to address the numerous challenges facing our planet.
As the U.S. takes on the responsibility of organizing & hosting the next G7 summit, it is appalling that @realDonaldTrump appears hell-bent on inviting Vladimir Putin back as Russia continues to forcibly occupy Crimea, interferes in our elections & initiates a new arms race.
Allowing Russia back into the G7 would only show President @realDonaldTrump’s weakness in the face of Putin & his oligarchs & make the United States less secure.

Albany's Sgt. Henry Johnson was a Harlem Hellfighter & WWI hero

He bravely, singlehandedly forced a group of German soldiers to retreat to save a fellow soldier

I fought for him to posthumously receive the Medal of Honor & to rename Fort Johnson for him!

President Biden’s budget proposal will emphasize the contrast between Democrats’ and Republicans’ vision for America:
@POTUS’s budget will keep taxes and costs low for working families. Republicans went on record wanting to raise taxes with their national 30% sales tax proposal.
@POTUS promised no new taxes for people making under $400,000. The first bill House Republicans passed helped rich tax cheats.

Happy #BlackHistoryMonth! Every day this month I will be honoring the achievements and contributions of the many African Americans who have helped shape New York's culture and history.

Join me in lifting up these Black leaders to tell their stories.
A key LGBT figure of the Harlem Renaissance, Alain Locke was an educator, writer, and philosopher of race and culture. Locke was the editor of the influential anthology, "The New Negro," and the first African American Rhodes Scholar. This #BlackHistoryMonth we honor his legacy. Photo shows Alain Locke
Originally from Rochester, NY, Cab Calloway was a jazz singer, dancer, and bandleader. Calloway and his Orchestra were a fixture at Harlem's Cotton Club, and he was the first African American to sell 1 million records from a single song! #BlackHistoryMonth Photo shows Cab Calloway

Just as I predicted, President @realDonaldTrump backed off on his threat of tariffs against Mexico.
He says that Mexico will take action to ‘greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico and into the United States’, but if past is prologue, this is likely to be one of the president’s typical, bogus solutions to justify backing off things like the tariffs.
He precipitously proposed the tariffs, much to the consternation of the business community nationwide and Republicans in the House and Senate.
