My #CityPop Collection @Bandcamp had problems with the cover arts so I included all #pixelart in the download. If you already DL'ed it, Please get them from this twitter string.

Thank you so much for the overwhelmingly positive reception of my latest piece, #Ganyu. Since everyone enjoyed it a lot, I'll talk about the creative process that went into the piece. #pixelart#ドット絵
Originally I made this on paper, with a common ball pen. My old followers know that this is usually how I start a piece - I like to sketch it first to get a fuller idea of what I want to do. I started it in February 5th.
Here I scanned and converted the lineart into binary, and started playing with colors. I have a basic palette I use for all my pieces. It helps me set the tone as I clean the lines. I edit these colors as I work on the piece, fine-tuning as I see fit.
Good afternoon! Today I will talk about something that I mentioned with my friends and thought it would be a great artistic subject: "Anime Mouths and Gestalt Principles and Pixelart Applications". Let's go!
If you are a fan of anime style artwork, you might've come across this style of mouth. It is strange at first because it is a broken line, and yet it is readable as a single entity. What happens here? This is Gestalt being employed.
Gestalt (read ɡəˈʃtalt) is a German branch of psychology that affirms we perceive things as a whole, not the individual parts. This hollistic approach allows us to see seemingly different things, detect a pattern and interpret them as a whole.
I've made a small correction (forgot to add the step numbers). I'll use this opportunity to talk about this sweet!
Brigadeiro is literally "brigadier", a military rank. It is so named after the title of the candidate for presidency at that time, Eduardo Gomes, who was going to succeed Getúlio Vargas's rule in 1954.
About the Lizard Wizard I posted awhile ago: my design process was to sketch and iterate on paper first, then do the lineart, scan and make the pixelart. This approach allows me to better feel the line flow and easily discard elements that don't fit. #pixelart#ドット絵
The design started out as a simple pun (lizard wizard), but I tried to put as many slithering elements in the design. The ouroboros goldpiece on the hat, the chameleon-like look, the bright membrane of maned lizards and the fire from salamanders were all implemented in the art.
The colors were picked on the fly, taking care on the hues to make it optimized and striking. This brings unity to the piece and I felt that the AA & contrast were appropriate. I am proud of the final piece!
