If you are a POC in America, I strongly urge you to make the effort & secure a passport. You need more options than most. Only 36% have passports, so if you are a POC reading this, there is a good chance you do not....

Understood, but if someone can hike 1000 miles through Central America & risk imprisonment (or worse) at the border, you as an able-bodied person in the USA can probably find a way to create a exit plan. Will it be fun & entertaining? No, but do it anyway.

As a POC here, you have probably developed a natural instinct for detecting threats & have learned how to best navigate them. A passport will give you a world of choices to reach your destination safely. Maybe not quickly or comfortably, but safely.
Can't imagine even leaving your neighborhood? People move, we have moved for many reasons for centuries. It is not all that strange, especially when under threat and please understand that you are already under threat that most likely will grow....
Vulnerable populations (POC, women, differently abled, LGBTQ) will, as usual, bear the terrible brunt of the potential cascading political & social breakdown. Those of privilege, who can do something about it, will continue to keep their head in the sand, never feeling the effect
They will continue to deny reality, clutching onto their American Exceptionalism & believe someone or something will save the day.

The fact that he is still here reconfirms that fact that so many of great power/wealth & of very little means truly don't want you here. They don't want you thriving. They have a big problem w/ you & will go to any means to squash even a hint of social equity.
