Let me put the #YangMediaBlackout in terms given to me by folks in media: @AndrewYang & @TulsiGabbard are the two “novelty” candidates to the MSM. Their supposed media “function” is to advance the narrative of the “2 1/2 real candidates: @JoeBiden, @SenWarren & @BernieSanders.”
I kid you not. The ‘grownups’ have apparently “already held the pre-primary.” They find the campaigns of Andrew & Tulsi ‘cute’ but ‘nobody smart takes them seriously’. As for #YangMediaBlackout: “Does anyone with a brain seriously believe he can win?” He’s “become a distraction.”
Talk to journalists and pundits. In their “insular world”, you “lose points” for thinking someone can win who “those of us inside the beltway who breathe this stuff know has zero chance”. This is internal culture of media. Learn & share its language, verbal tics and pseudo-logic.
