@oliverdarcy Number 48 is particularly interesting: "CNN’s Oliver Darcy and others excerpted a Trump comment as if he had referred to immigrants or illegal immigrants generally as “animals.” Most outlets corrected their reports later ... Trump was referring to MS-14

@oliverdarcy Num 20 is good: CNN reported that Comey would testify he had never told Trump he wasn't being investigated. Comey in fact testified that he had. (Maybe a time you shouldn't trust an anonymous source?)

@oliverdarcy Number 23: "CNN’s Thomas Frank reported that Congress was investigating a “Russian investment fund with ties to Trump officials.” The report was later retracted. Frank and two other CNN employees resigned in the fallout."

@oliverdarcy Num 28: "CNN’s Chris Cillizza and other news outlets declared Trump “lied” when he stated that Trump Tower had been wiretapped,...." In fact, the wiretapping had been originally reported on the NYT front page, and has now been confirmed by govt sources.

@oliverdarcy 36: CNN’s Manu Raju and Jeremy Herb reported that Donald Trump Jr. conspired with WikiLeaks in advance of the publication of damaging Democrat party and Clinton campaign emails.

They got the date wrong.

@oliverdarcy 79: CNN reported a lawsuit against Trump for kissing a campaign worked. Except the lawsuit had been long-since dismissed, which you corrected later.

@oliverdarcy 82: CNN and others reported that a nursing baby was ripped from his mother's arms. False.

This one strikes me because I hear this falsehood repeated regularly.

@oliverdarcy 85: Trump said Alabama was at risk from Hurricane Dorian. CNN and others reported it never happened, even though there were contemporaneous NOAA weather predictions showing it.

Did CNN ever correct?

@oliverdarcy 86: CNN reported that Trump had leaked info that led to a US asset being pulled out of Russia. NYT and WaPo contradicted, and US *strongly* denied. (The leaks had actually happened under Obama.)

@oliverdarcy That's the last hit for CNN in Atkinson's list. Congratulations, you've got 16 entries without being noted. Maybe a record.

But given that list, don't you think most people have good reason to wonder if CNN is trustworthy?
