Thread: Booking reservations for today for holding Condolence Reference for Muhammad Khan sb (father of #NaqeebUllahMehsud) postponed indefinitely by Karachi Press Club. The reference was originally supposed to take place today between 4pm-6pm at KPC Hall.
We were originally informed in the morning that event can't take place at 4pm due to KPC elections and were asked to reschedule for after 6pm. We obliged and rescheduled for 6.30 and informed all speakers to do same who kindly agreed. Then few minutes ago KPC management called us Image
We were informed that another meeting has taken place and event can't take place at all today. I asked what reason should we provide to the guests. KPC said "unavoidable circumstances". On asking when is the venue available next, we were told that can't be confirmed right now
The reference was organized to recognize the courage and struggle of Muhammad Khan sb who even after losing his son to an act of State terrorism trusted every State institution to give him justice through Courts of Law. Fathers like him and #IqbalLala are blessings for the nation Image

We will now be representing Muhammad Khan sb's son and #Naqeebullah's brother Alam Sher in the Courts against #RaoAnwar. A son was killed due to State Terrorism, a father died fighting State apathy and now a third member from the family is trusting the State to get justice

The psychiatrist made multiple visits to Shelter Home & held sessions with the Child, she also held multiple sessions with the Parents & during course of this her behaviour began to visibly change, as she had erratic behavior & severe mood swings making us doubt her own health...

1) ملزم کو قتل کی رات کہاں لے جایا گیا اور کیوں وہ اس نے مرنے سے پہلے خود ہی دنیا کو بتا دیا اور ہم سب کو گواہ بنا گیا، اس نظام کے بھروسے ناظم پوری رات تشدد برداشت کرتا رہا مگر MNA اور MPA صاحب کے ظلم کے آگے جھکا نہیں، اس کا پیغام آپ بھی سن لیں۔۔۔
2) ملزم کے بھائ افضل نے پولیس کو اپنے ابتدائی بیان میں تفصیلاً بتایا کہ کیسے اس نے خود MNA جام کریم اور اس کے گارڈز کو 3 گھنٹے تک اپنے بھائی #ناظم_جوکھیو پر تشدد کرتے دیکھا اور مجبوراً اپنے بھائی کو زخمی حالت میں چھوڑ کر آنا پڑا اور گھر کے راستے میں MPA جام اویس نے فون پر کیا کہا
3) دو مہینے بعد جب ملزموں کا اثر ورسوخ پھر بھڑنے لگا تو ناظم کے بھائی نے عدالت کو بیان حلفی میں یہ کہہ کر جام کریم کو معاف کیا کہ جام کریم نے حلف اٹھایا کہ وہ ناظم کی موت واقع ہونے میں شامل نہیں تھا مگر پھر بھی اس بیان پر قائم رہا کہ اس کہ سامنے جام کریم نے اس کے بھائ پر تشدد کیا

Learned ATC No. 15 heard opinion of I.O., PG, Counsels of Complainant & Widow of #NazimJokhio as well as all Defence Counsels. All stated this case is not of terrorism. As regards NCHR, Court still hasn't decided our app to intervene & has reserved Order on jurisdiction for 10May

If the girl in question is a minor & she has been subjected to Child Marriage then this may potentially also be a case of strict liability rape (if girl under 16) & sexual abuse (if under 18)- yes the PPC has contradictions - but in no event should media air any video msg of girl
If Police while investigating complaint of Child abduction finds the child (under 18) has been subjected to marriage, Police must note under PPC 361 Kidnapping includes "enticement" when girl under 16. There is no such thing as "Apni Marzi say gayi thi"...
Moreover, if the girl is a minor from Sindh (under 18) then her marriage is a offence of Child Marriage. She is a victim of a criminal offence. The police shouldn't take Nikah Nama as a defence. Such contracts of marriage are void ab initio in light of recent IHC judgment...

If any act is a nullity in law then any proceedings flowing from it are also void. A nullity can't be perpetuated. PM losses right to dissolve NA when VNC is pending. Dismissing VNC was unconstitutional & through that PM assuming right to ask President to dissolve NA is also void
If the Supreme Court accepts that Assemblies stand dissolved and elections should take place then that in effect would be validating today's unconstitutional proceedings. The SC will most likely reverse all proceedings & direct for VNC to be put to vote in line with Constitution
Democracy can only work if all political parties, leaders & institution submit themselves to a mutually agreed higher value/code which in our case is our Constitution. PTI through its repeated actions have clearly demonstrated it's willing to sacrifice democracy to save itself.
