11th Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair 2020 will have as its core theme Revering Womanhood. It expounds Women in Indian civilisation as Shakti & contrast with the Western civilizational view of women as Weaker Sex (Feminist Stephanie Tawa Lama) See front & back of the Brochure
Stephanie Tawa Lama said that the Indian freedom movement was fought in the name and under the leadership of a woman called Bharath Mata. The Fair celebrates the unbroken tradition of Indian woman intellectuals, warriors, poets, rulers and saints till 13 century.
By combining the studies and views of Dr Fatima Hussein, Prof RJ Rummel of Hawai University 2007, travelogue of Huang Tsag 7C CE and Brooking Institution 2017 the Fair brings out the fact that Indian women's status declined only from 13C CE as India became an insecure nation.
The entire supporting facts and the comparative position of women in the Indian and Western civilizations are captured in the brochure of the Fair titled "Revering Womanhood where women are revered there God's rejoice relating timeless Indian virtue to contemporary India"
Kannagi who demonstrated what Shakti means 2500 years ago, and is revered in Srilanka by Buddhists as Paththini, by Tamils as Amman, in Kerala as Bhagawaty and Devi and in Tamil Nadu as Karpukkarasi is the Icon of the Fair.
The Fair will showcase the long tradition of women as seers, scholars, poets, rulers, warriors, freedom fighters and modern leaders from Vedic times as Dr Fatima Hussein to modern times as Stephanie Tawa Lama said. It will be an unbelievable presentation of Indian womanhood
Here is the link to the brochure of the Fair which will correct all distortions about Indian women in contemporary discourse.

The Dollar led world finacial and economic integration always considered unsustainable now seems to be in its terminal stages. What may follow cannot be fathomed. Yuan can’t imagine replacing USD as global currency as to replace USD a country has to run current ac deficit like US
Instead China is running a huge cureent account surplus which means the only way Yuan will be available to the world is by loan or whatever investment. If USD ceases to be the accepted global tender China will not be the gainer. On the contrary it may lose. And badly
The world which is becoming multipolar may also become a multi currency world with the mighty combination of finance trade and economic integration and single market and supply chains founded on that becoming a matter of the past
Justice Nazir says Manu, Kautilya Brihaspati & other Ancient law givers Indian jurisprudence should be taught, colonial law system should be overthrown. He says a new generation of Indian lawyers must emerge. Seculars & Liberals are you guys listening? eng.bharattimes.co.in/ancient-indian…
What justice Nazir has spoken is the newly evolving field of law — legal anthropology. This is the alternative thought as the current legal system which is adversarial is not delivering because the social DNA of the people is different for different
Adversarial justice system is western construct and import where truth is to be discovered from the lies of the litigant sworn in court by even character assassinating him under the evidence act. But in village panchayat one will not dare tell lies on his children’s head
Integrating development plans with purgatives to detoxify and formalise the Indian economy reflected the Modi government’s long term vision. But neither could have been possible without the other. And, both would have been impossible without bold leadership.
Nothing would have been possible had Modi not won absolute majority for the second time. Forbes was wrong in faulting democracy. As the dynasty-led Congress declined, Indian democracy was in distress for a quarter century.
Narration of what an absolute majority rule with bold leadership could do cannot be complete without saying how India handled the Covid challenge.
Had parallel black trade continued as before DM, GST mop-up could have failed miserably. That could have threatened states’ finances and the federal structure itself, even caused financial emergency. SBIs latest Ecowrap researches have brought out the truth about unpopular DM.
SBI Ecowrap says because of DM, Jan Dhan bank accounts rose by 5.7 cr; digital transitions from 182 per 10K in 2014 to 13,615 in 2020 — by 135 times; ATM network growth, that indicated cash drawls, has flattened; the savings in the Jan Dhan accounts has risen to Rs 1.40 lakh cr.
SBI Ecowrap says DM, GST, digital transactions reduced share of the informal economy from 54% in 2014 to 15-20% in 2020-21. Formalisation extended to 36 lakh jobs, says the Employee Provident Fund office, to 5.7 cr unorganised workers —most in backward states, says E-Shram portal
Asking an identical question, “Why China flew, India just grew?” Forbes magazine (2019) answered that it was because of the barrier-free autocracy in China and nightmare democracy in India. Is this correct. Read on....newindianexpress.com/opinions/colum…
Yangtze Dam flooded 13 cities, 140 towns, 1,350 villages displaced 1.2 million people. Built in 12 years. Narmada Dam flooded no city. Inundated no town. Impacted far less villages, just 178. Displaced less than 1/10 of the people the Chinese dam had. But took 48 years to build!
Why, then, wouldn’t China fly over just growing India, asked Forbes. But the magazine missed the wood for the trees. For 25 years (1989-2014) India had only rickety, compromising coalitions, which had debilitated the economy. This is what Forbes sadly missed.
The real test is not the % of vegetarians vs non vegetarians. It is the percapita meat consumption. India's at 4.5 kg is amongst the lowest. bbc.com/news/health-47…. It has come down as compared to 1961. It is over 100kg in US.
In India vegetarian vs non vegetarian distinction is based on whether some one eats only vegetarian food or one eats some non veg also. Non veg is not the staple food. It is a side dish. Even non vegetarians don't eat non veg all days. Some days they also remain vegetarian
On religious occasions, sacred days even non vegetarians don't eat non veg. So non vegetarians in India is not like non vegetarians in the west.
