Van de Grift 2019 is an example of positive spin that makes me wonder about the data they didn't publish. FtM phalloplasty patients only 28% strongly satisfied with post-op sexual function. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10… Image
The rather cheery introduction: "Use and enjoyment of both chest and genitals during sexual activity increased after surgery. Other areas of improvement included arousability, sexual interest, and pleasure. In conclusion, genital GAS positively impacts transmen's sexuality..." Image
For some categories there were far more positive reports than negative. However, in almost all categories, most reported "similar". In two categories there was more diminishment than improvement. Check the table. Is this what success looks like? Image
n=38 with loss to follow up of almost 20% for a relatively short follow-up study. Any guess as to how the 20% are faring? Studies show that those lost to follow up are far more likely to have negative experiences or complications.
My view is that in 10 years everyone and their dog will realize that the signs of medical malpractice were always there, but that bias and positive spin in the name of justice and activism blinded doctors to the truth.

In fact, there are several details that would point, if not to absolving her, at least of putting the lion's share of culpability upon David. 1) He is friend of one of his closest men and grand-daughter of another. Hence very young. (2 Sam 11:3, see )theopolisinstitute.com/bathsheba-the-…
2) She had been purifying herself, and like her husband cares about ritual purity-- more than David!! (2 Sam 11:4, 11)
3) David "takes her" - this could be a neutral term, but it could also be translated "seize" as in the rape of Dinah (Gen 34:2)
4) She mourns for her husband the way David mourned for Saul & Jonathan, and Abner--both righteous acts and the immediate preceding uses of the verb (2 Sam 1:12, 3:31)
5) She is likened to a "ewe lamb" which suggests vulnerability and purity

Given that we are publicly discussing sexual orientation/preference, here is a primer from the peer-reviewed literature. Hint: if you think sexual orientation is immutable you're about 15 years behind. #BillC6 #ACB #SexualPreference Thread. 1/
2/ Orientation is difficult to define: attractions, behavior, personal identity, all possibilities. While often overlapping, not always the case. Furthermore, risks (eg. physical or mental health) are often associated differently for these categories. See researchgate.net/publication/66…

Teens over only three years in longitud. study. “26% of girls and 11% of boys reported fluidity in identity and 31% of girls and 10% of boys reported fluidity in attractions."

Thanks to all the new followers. I've been fighting for women's sex-based rights for 4 years now against the gender identity/trans agenda. Highlights, some of which may be useful to you.
1/ Ran posters in Vancouver that were vs. Bill C-16

Called a nazi
2/ Spoke to Senate vs Bill C-16 on grounds of women's protection and right of consent. On the same panel as the indomitable Meghan Murphy and the amazing Hilla Kerner. Not a feminist myself, but thankful to be on the same page as these women.
3/ Published independent research on the effects of Target's gender-identity policy on offenses against women as reported in the media. While it has flaws, it remains some of the best data we have on the issue.

Data out of the UK since generally confirms

I've been waiting a long time for a leader like Derek Sloan who will protect women's sex-based right to privacy, consent, protections, and sports, and LEAD with these crucial issues for the benefit of Canadian women and children. Courage is in short supply these days.
Derek Sloan doesn't just talk either. He is committed to an inquiry into Bill C16 and whether or not a gender-based analysis was done petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/De…
He is also sponsoring an inquiry into the enormous numbers of medically transitioning children in the foster system in BC

Thread on how #Twitter is stalking you and knows way too much.

Today I got an advertisement follow suggestion for Leone- a high-end fashion store in downtown Vancouver. I never search online for high-end fashion. Once in a blue moon I'll look online at some men's clothes... 1/4 Image
But nothing in this range. The scary part? One of my children and I went downtown Vancouver last Monday in the car. I live 30-40 minutes away from downtown and go down there infrequently. When I do travel there it is almost always on public transit... 2/4
But in this case I needed to pick something up that was heavy. We parked a block and half away from our pick up location... beside Leone. I remember because ironically I used to be very interested in fashion. I thought about going in their with my child just for fun except... 3/4

This column on defunding police is intellectual pap. Maybe there are arguments out there for it, but this is something a 14 year old justice warrior would write. Short thread.

nationalpost.com/news/calum-mar…
Argues that experts in mental health or social work can deal with situations often dealt with by police. And what if they are not initially successful and there's escalation and violence? You are putting people in harm's way, in many cases women. Image
There seems to be an underlying optimism here that people are basically good and just need a little help now and then. Where is the evidence that people are basically good? Can someone point me to a society without police where the poor are not regularly and severely oppressed?
