This #SupermanAnalogue is...uh... a bit of a reach but I wanted to talk about a Hanna-Barbera superhero after yesterday's Scooby gang and I think he still works, despite a more obvious resemblance to a different franchise. Blue Falcon's partner, the Dog Blunder himself, Dynomutt! 
If I was going to bring Dynomutt up, I probably should have included him when I ran through the various powerful puppers but I'm doing this off the cuff and personally I just need to talk about a dog today. So let's do this...
Dynomutt was yet another 70s cartoon hero, much like Mightor and Birdman, however this one sort of spun out of Scooby Doo (or at least crossed over). It took the idea of a canine protagonist but mixed in elements of the 60s Batman show and some gadget fetish for good measure.
As you can guess from the "Dog Wonder" moniker (although he was more often referred to as the Dog Blunder), Dynomutt was the Robin to his partner Blue Falcon's Batman. But here Dynomutt was the powerhouse of the team rather than sidekick.
Dynomutt was a robot, you see. He was outfitted with extending limbs, rockets, and sci-fi. You know, all the things a robot warrior would need to inspire fear in the superstitious and cowardly lot. In the grand scheme of things, he's a heavy enough hitter, however he's also dumb!
Blue Falcon was VERY Adam West Batman. His alter ego was a wealthy Playboy art dealer named Radley Crown. He was outfitted with an array of gadgets that you could only pull of in a cartoon, like rocket shoes. He was the straight man to Dynomutt's tomfoolery. A truly stalwart hero
The pair were a part of the Laff-A-Lympics, participating on the Scooby Doobies, along with Captain Caveman. Dynomutt was one of the most OP competitors, only balanced by his bungling.
After his initial set of appearances, Dynomutt showed up in Dexter's Lab.
And I think we're getting a cameo in the upcoming Scooby Doo movie.
The duo also more recently crossed over with the Super Sons (The Sons of Batman and Superman, natch). Haven't read it but it's part of DC's Hanna-Barbera reimaginings (The best of which was Flintstones)
Anyway, Dynomutt was a powerful champion who tried his best despite being a bungling idiot. While he wasn't "competent", he had heart and power, making him a valuable ally in the war against injustice.
