ट्विटर पर कई ज्ञानियों ने कहा कि महाशिवरात्रि के दिन शिवलिंग पर इतना दूध चढ़ाकर बर्बाद क्यों किया जाता है। हिंदू धर्म की धार्मिक परंपराओं की निंदा करना आजकल फैशन बन गया है। शिवलिंग की आकृति एक एलिपसॉयड जैसी होती है तथा यह प्राकृतिक ऊर्जा का संचय करने में समर्थ होता है।

इस ऊर्जा के विकिरण से बचने के लिए शिवलिंग पर जल दूध आदि चढ़ाया जाता है जैसे न्यूक्लियर रिएक्टर को ठंडा रखने के लिए हैवी वाटर का प्रयोग किया जाता है। शिवलिंग पर बेलपत्र सूरजमुखी के फूल एवं भांग इत्यादि भी चढ़ाए जाते हैं।

यह सभी पौधे परमाणु ऊर्जा के विकिरण को नियंत्रण रखने मैं सक्षम हैं। चेर्नोबिल परमाणु आपदा के बाद उस संपूर्ण क्षेत्र में भांग के पौधों को उगा कर विकिरण को कंट्रोल नियंत्रित किया गया था।

आज समय, इस प्रकार के प्रश्न पूछने की बजाए, इस बात का है कि हमारे शास्त्रों एवं पुराणों में जिन बातों को परंपरा में निहित कर लिया गया है उसकी वैज्ञानिक गुढ्ता को समझने के लिए शोध करें और उस को बढ़ावा दें।

इतना विस्तार पूर्वक मैं केवल प्रश्न का उत्तर देने के लिए नहीं लिख रहा हूं अपितु अपने बहन भाइयों को शिवलिंग के गुण एवं महत्व को समझाने का प्रयास कर रहा हूं।

Science means onward march of human mind in questioning the existing and the the unknown. It also means questioning even the existing processes. From this only the new discoveries come. Half baked and cooked up stories to discredit a person are result of a biased mind.
