How about a Starman who better for the #SupermanAnalogue when he was a Starboy? Thomas Kallor, formerly of the Legion of Superheroes a thousand years in the future, he travelled back in time to be the eighth Starman. Image
So Starboy is mostly known for having the power to increase the mass of an object, making them super heavy. I guess it's a gravitational pull of a star thing. He was an old school Legionnaire, dating back to the early days. Image
As with everyone in the Legion, he grew up in the 70s and 80s into a mature role, before being rebooted ad infinitum. His 80s design would be his best known look, influencing many of the later versions. Image
I remember this from the post Zero Hour version (which had a decent costume but could have really benefitted from the starfields), but was apparently true of the pre-crisis version: at one point had Kryptonian like powers. Vision blasts, super strength, etc. Image
I remember an issue of Secret Origins revealed that this came from him eating a mixture of proteins which included flesh from a space whale (the source of Ultra Boys powers). The pre-crisis version was from comet radiation. Regardless, it was never his default power set. Image
The 3-Boot version had a race flip that I think was controversial at the time (the more things change) except who the fuck cares? I like his design a lot but he was never the biggest player in that series. Image
Simultaneously...in a manner of speaking... We had found out that the Starman of Kingdom Come was the post Zero Hour Kallor, back in time and with his pre-crisis design (plus mask). This version then joined the early 2000s Justoce Society. Image
He was nerfed by the reveal that a medicine he needed for cognitive function was not invented yet, causing him to have trouble functioning in our time. Image
A version of this was handled in the animated Justice League vs. The Fatal Five movie. Image
With Legion stuff being so prone to revisions and parallel realities, it's easy to imagine every version of the character existing. Image
Ultimately, while his stints giving Superboy or Mon-El a run for their money have been brief, Thom Kallor has always been a Legion heavy hitter for his base powers (pun completely intended). Just sometimes he's been at the top tier of a team that's handled planets of Supermen. Image
