Canvassers going around UCLA collecting sigs for multiple initiatives, each with lots of buzzy progressive ideas. But buried in the stacks is an initiative that would undo parts of #ab5 for rideshare companies, turning employees back into contractors, funded by #uber & #lyft. 
When I asked the canvasser who he worked for, he became irate and walked away.
Hard to say whether this is part of Uber/lyft/doordash’s strategy (overwhelm voters with text), or if a canvassing company is just sending out people with multiple initiatives.
Either way, #uber, #lyft, & #doordash are sending out AstroTurf canvassers during a pandemic to get an initiative on the ballot. #COVID19
