How about a whole team full of warriors each in the class to be a #SupermanAnalogue? The Hyperclan were superbeings from outer space who came to fix our world and relieve us of our problems. But what if they're not all they appear to be? 
What? Even that dreamy Protex? Yup! The Hyperclan actually came to Earth to reclaim a world they saw as theirs, a world they rules when they expanded from Mars. That's right! These are White Martians! As strong and fast as Superman with shape shifting and telepathy.
White Martians look a little more monstrous in their base forms, but otherwise all as powerful as J'onn J'onzz, The Martian Manhunter. They're this in top most tiers of beings in the DCU AS A SPECIES!
They been defeated before by green Martians, exiled to the Phantom Zone centuries ago. In fact this was in response to their mucking with the genetic material of Earthlings, stripping us of our potential to become Supermen ourselves. Apparently the metagene used to be ubiquitous.
White Martians are a big threat when they show up. They're tough enough to take on any hero, plus they're telepathy and shape shifting allows all manner of tricks. Like hallucinations of Kryptonite.
However, when not being duplicitous, some are actually quite nice, such as Miss Martian, who is secretly a White Martian. Ultimately, it's not all "species = bad" but White Martians "tend" to be pricks.
Because they have become a big part of DC Martian lore, White Martians have showed up in several other media. There was a nod in the Justice League cartoon, but we got big arcs featuring them in Supergirl!
And Young Justice also heavily featured them, which is no surprise given how big a part Miss Martian is.
If their numbers were greater, they'd be borderline unstoppable. As it is, the remaining 1000s of them can conquer worlds with little effort.
The White Martians are an evil lurking in the shadows, waiting to attack. When they come, no one will recognize them, nothing can be kept secret. We'll have no choice but to huddle around fires and pray the fire lasts the night.
