1) As a young New Yorker, when I became part of the work force, driving trucks for delivery, labor, , cleaning crew, bussing tables, security at bars and restaurants and such.
I worked mostly with immigrants on most of those jobs.
2) I could name them by name, the folks I remember getting to know, however the list would be too long.
These people have always been the core of the work force in NYC and so many more cities in our country.
Today they are the courageous ones.
3) As I go out of the house for essentials all I see are these same faces covered by masks with their gloved hands working out there to earn a living in spite of the danger for them and their families.
4) They need to work as does most of America for they don't have access or can not afford healthcare and other such necessities.
They are more then ever helping us. Yes, doing the jobs we will not do.
It has a tremendous significance in our daily lives to say the least.
5) These immigrant workers, Americans are our heroes. We should have always been thankful that our nation has them. Yet recently we’ve been told not to be, the reason why being a made up and ungodly reason.
Yes, half of the country believed those lies.
6) Now we, you, me, must be thankful and I am.
I thank you all out there keeping my family fed, safe and protected, supplied and serviced.
Thanks to all of you American heroes.
Thank you to the American immigrants documented and undocumented for you are the courageous ones.
