Going to visit here less than usual today while everyone bites each other's heads off over Bernie and Biden.
Yes, it totally sucks we don't get Warren or Bernie. At minimum, we get a less rapey, less dementia-afflicted candidate vs Trump who isn't a sociopath. Tragically, in this day and age, that's reason enough to #VoteBlueNoMatterWho.
Save your anger over things on the left for fighting Trump and the virus. We can rip the DNC a new one after Nov. 3, no matter the outcome.

That saves me a tweet but I guess this counts as a tweet on it anyway. It's another day of people arguing over the right corporate media platform to use socially.

Not being a Nazi, racist, homophobe, misogynist, abuser, advocate of violence or denier of facts works well for me.
Out come the the people who, upset with their vile statements being removed, cry "Censorship!". There is a legal standard of censorship as the silencing or removal of speech by the government.

A corporation, using its free speech, can control what is on its platform.
The act of censorship per a dictionary definition does not imply or establish an illegality to the act. If your Twitter post was eliminated, for -whatever- reason the corporation wants to offer, that's NOT illegal.

The GQP and MAGAs now attack vaccine value and related facts because of what has come to pass due to their own selfish and reckless stupidity. Same story with masks. We have to wear them again because the idiots won't wear them in the first place.
Those so desperate to resume normalcy and so horribly inconvenienced by masks are the reason why we can't achieve normalcy and abandon masks.
The power-mongers who don't care how many stupid people die are now losing supporters in the hot spot south. It's a perfect storm of stupid there: fatal partisanship + stupid people not seeing they're their own worst enemies + an increasingly deadly virus that thrives on that.

It's not truly a "culture war". (long post)

It is proponents for equality, compassion, freedom of expression, acceptance and democracy itself trying to preserve progress and fend off those determined to destroy those sorts of things.
Part of the problem is that those pursuing conservative and faith-related regression often do so for a mixture of reasons divorced from what they coax their gullible followers into believing.
Rich right wing politicians and pundits will seek regression because whatever restrictions come of it, it will never affect them. Their mistresses and daughters will still be able to have safe abortions. Their gated communities will protect them from dirty water and unrest.

As horrible as all the racist fucks are being with renewed vigor these last four years, the truth is that they are doomed. They are guaranteed to be more and more outnumbered by not-so-white, brown and mixed-race people. It's happening and they can do nothing about it.
The strange thing is that so many of the bastards aren't currently acting in anticipation of demographic inevitabilities. They simply feel free to reveal how awful they are in public now.
Those asshats who do see positive changes for minorities (soon to be a majority), are so highly fearful of the most minor of inconveniences. Their only identity is being the current default in society. Who will they be without that? Will they have to think of others?
