I extend my best wishes to all Christian faithful in Nigeria and around the world as we celebrate this year's Easter. It is a moment of thanksgiving as well as an opportunity to reflect on the benefits of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
From Holy Scriptures, we understand that the purpose of Christ's death on the cross was to redeem humanity from the bondage of sin, establish His love on us and grant us access to eternal life.
At Easter, our common testimonies are tales of the triumph of life over death, songs of victory over the devil and celebrations of love, mercy and grace.
These are not the best of times for Nigerians and many others around the world because of the global crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID - 19 pandemic, which has disrupted the fate and fortunes of many.
It has been a season of hardship for some and a moment of fear and despair for others.
In all these, we must remain steadfast in faith, boundless in hope and obstinate in love for God and humanity.
We must not allow the challenges of this present time to overwhelm the riches of God's grace and the truth of His love towards us, as nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Let us continue to live in faith and walk in love so we can conquer all our national challenges; for the troubles of this time will surely redound unto greater honour and glory for us all.
Happy Easter Celebrations.

Fellow Compatriots,
This is a historic week for our country, as citizens of voting age go out to cast their ballots this weekend to elect our next president and federal parliamentarians who will be expected to make laws for the common good of the land.
The same exercise will be repeated for governorship and state houses of assembly in two weeks.
It is a time that requires us all to exercise the highest form of patriotism in our nation-building journey and collective quest for peace and progress.
Let us approach this election with devotion, dedication, and selflessness, by ensuring that we don’t jeopardize our country's peace and unity as we exercise our franchise and pursue our political dreams and aspirations.
Happy New Year, Nigerians and friends across the world.
Every new day is a gift for which we must show appreciation to God. We thank God for the gift of life and the opportunities 2023 presents to us as individuals and as a nation.
Last year was, without a doubt, filled with gains and losses. As a country, we experienced a devastating flood that resulted in the death of many lives and the destruction of properties and sources of livelihood of millions of citizens.
As a people, we survived the horror of the flood amid other national challenges, lived with hope unto God and faith in our nation, and triumphed into this New Year.
My appeal to all Nigerians is to de-emphasize our differences and focus on the issues that bind us.
Luckily, we are in an election cycle, so my challenge to the youth is to take charge of their future; by electing those who believe in our unity and will promote peace and progress, not those who will erect ethnic walls and religious barriers among our people.
Collectively, if we work together and accommodate our differences, we can build a nation where everybody will have a sense of belonging, and everyone’s rights will be guaranteed. That is the way we must go; a Nigeria where equality and justice reign.
2023: Jonathan Congratulates Presidential Flagbearers
I congratulate the winners of the various primaries across the political spectrum, particularly Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP)…
…. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who has won the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the flagbearers of other parties that have also concluded their primaries.
They include Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Malik Ado-Ibrahim, Young Progressives Party (YPP)…
2021 NEW YEAR MESSAGE
Happy New Year Dear Compatriots and friends across the world.
This is the beginning of a new journey, a new chapter, a fresh opportunity to start and recover from the losses of 2020.
Last year was a challenging year, characterized by tales of misfortunes, deaths and illnesses. It was a tough moment for many homes and families owing to the unfortunate #COVID19 .
The pandemic plagued our world with many consequences, causing hardship and other forms of insecurity.
Christmas is the day, in the calendar of Christendom, that marks the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
It is a commemoration that connects the world to love, selflessness, sacrifice and solidarity; which are the virtues that Christ unambiguously propagated.
Jesus' message of salvation speaks to the essence of both spiritual deliverance and earthly redemption. It is a constant reminder that humanity will have a more peaceful existence if people of the world rededicate themselves to friendship, kindness and compassion.
