1/ Aquí vemos una de las representaciones más antiguas de la Resurrección de Jesús, motivo conocido como "Anástasis" (en griego "ponerse en pie, levantarse"); compuesto por el crismón, unión de las letras griegas X ji y P ro, las primeras de la palabra Χριστός (Cristo, ungido).
2/ Aparece rodeado por una corona de laurel (=triunfo sobre la muerte) y flanqueado por dos aves. Abajo, dos soldados romanos completan la escena.
Este símbolo es frecuente en diversas manifestaciones paleocristianas, como este "Sarcófago de árboles" (340-350 d.C.).
3/ Tiene todo el sentido su inclusión en contextos funerarios, dado su significado.
