Among the ten commandments of activism is that you should never, in the course of your own activism, screw over others who are conducting their own activism.
An easy way to ensure this is to, once in a while, put a lot of human rights activists in the same room and have them talk to each other. There is a lot of power in convening.
That space for convening has to be egalitarian. Nobody's voice should be more valid based upon where they're from, how famous they are, how large their organization is, or how long they've been activists.
