Throughout Trump's presidency, we have seen the the Right Wing Media Echo Chamber engage in disinformation/smear campaign's that cycle through the following stages: 2/
Stage 1: A Trump sycophant in the Right Wing Media.... with varying degrees of (in)credibility.... makes a statement or reports a story.... with varying degrees of accuracy/truth.... that appeals to Trump’s vanity/ego, or supports his political self-preservation/interests…3/
Stage 2: Trump picks up the idea/story with complete disregard for its truth/accuracy, or even potential harm…..and amplifies/rebroadcast the idea/story by tweet/press conference…often with “a lot of people are saying” as his lone substantiation/sourcing for the idea/story….4/
Stage 3: B/c it's news when a president speaks, the media “reports” the “news” and rebroadcasts Trump’s comments…which was simply a disinformation “seed” someone (Fox/Limbaugh/Info Wars) planted in Trump’s mind…knowing that that seed would be “watered” by Trump’s narcissism. 5/
Stage 4: Trump’s supporters and FoxNews viewers have now heard the idea/statement numerous times:
1) From the original Right Wing Media source
2) When it “echoed” off of/from Trump
3) And again when it is repeatedly echoed off of the media who “reports” Trump’s statements. 6/

This is important because, as has been studied and documented for decades, the foundation of the “Fire Hose of Lies” is that the more often a lie is repeated, the more likely people are to believe it….even when they know that the statement is false: 7/
Stage 5: The more often Trump’s supporters hear the idea/statement, the more they believe it…..and the more they believe it, the more they support it. Once support for the idea/statement hits a threshold level with his supporters, Trump feels emboldened to act with impunity….8/
…and (Stage 6) the more the corrupt/cowardly Republicans not only feel safe to enable (if not co-conspiratorially acquitting) Trump….but they do so out of fear of reprisal from Trump’s Right Wing Echo Chamber-manipulated/conditioned base.... 9/

Last week, Peter Navarro spoke during a press conference. In an attempt to absolve Trump of responsibility for incompetently delaying/failing to contain the virus, Navarro pushed a counternarrative w/repeated, over-the-top references to “Trump-time”...13/ nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/what…
Navarro’s characterization of “Trump time” was an attempt to gaslight the country into thinking Trump was not only acting responsibly and promptly….but it was a nod to the gaslighting narrative/claims that Trump was handling the crisis better than any president ever could. 14/
In an attempt to appeal to Trump’s vanity/narcissism, Navarro’s message was that Trump’s Covid-19 response wasn’t just happening quickly & on time….it was happening at such a rapid pace that it was occurring on some grandiose pace of “Trump time”…or at “Trump speed”. 15/
Well, of course this is all gaslighting propaganda, because what “Trump time” actually describes is the incompetent inaction that led to a delay that has unnecessarily caused tens of thousands of deaths. 16/
But more relevant to Fauci’s potential firing is Navarro’s behavior/statements….which felt beyond the usual licking of Trump’s…….boots…..

Perhaps worst of all… not only is the country at risk of losing brilliant leadership...but Dr. Fauci has to literally worry about his personal safety b/c the truth threatens Trump’s psychological deformities and pierces his cult's alternate reality...19/
