Sea level rise is now:

1. Megacities of 10 million inhabitants will be submerged by 2029

2. 100s of millions will be displaced by 2035

3. A rise of several meters will leave most of the world’s large cities underwater by between 2045 and 2055

This couldn't be true.

Could it?
1. The World Bank predicted 40% of Bangkok would be hit by sea level rise by the 2030s.

A recent study by ClimateCentral showed extensive inundation (temporary or permanent) in a range of coastal cities by 2030 (see next tweet).
2. Greenland and Antarctica have both now passed ice melt tipping points, suggesting sea level rise will continue to accelerate along with global warming, perhaps at an exponential rate.

See this thread:
3. Sea level rise of several meters would mean 'loss of all coastal cities, most of the world’s large cities and all their history'.

'At the low end of this range, sea levels would rise by several meters as soon as 2050.'
