Now that I think about it, this is how it goes. Women with a bf/husband involved in activism rarely are the ones who cause drama. Maybe they're more likely to be there for the right reasons instead of personal ambitions or wanting attention. And they have higher stakes in it.

The organizations/projects they are in are often important, even the livelihood, to their men, and the women have every reason to want to make working as smooth as possible. If they cause trouble, they'll also harm their own relationship. But single women have no such barriers.
And of course I am not saying that all single women are troublemakers in nationalist activism. Just that they have less inhibitions to cause trouble. They can just walk out if they get bored of the project. Other women have also their relationship tying them to the work.
