Malajahna (1965), directed by Nitai Pali, starring Akshaya Mohanty (Kashyapa) and Jharana Das. A critically acclaimed movie, it, however, did not do well commercially.

Gapa Hele Bi Sata (1976), is the first Odia colour film. Directed by Nagen Roy, it starred Harish Mohapatra & Banaja Mohanty. Its beautiful music was scored by Bhuban-Hari.
