Indeed. And the excuses for not extending transition (globalisation is breaking down, EU is breaking up etc) totally unconvincing. Worse, longer no decision made (it could / should have been done at least 2 weeks ago) the more it distracts.
In every government department there is a huge coronavirus workload. There is also a huge end of transition period workload (MPs might interestingly ask about this for e.g. the Department of Health). Which one should be the priority?
As an excuse to post this article again, globalisation is here to stay and the UK is not going to be able / want to make everything, so we need strong trade relations. And remember, no EU trade deal = broken government commitment. ecipe.org/blog/trade-cha…
