Smart experts don't yet understand yet how stupid America is.

The model to calculate deaths was adjusted down because experts wanted to show how much better things with aggressive social distancing & lockdowns. And the stupid people (Fox, Trump. the cult) looked at the .../1

...revised numbers & said "You experts got it wrong. Only 80,000 dead? End social distancing and lockdowns!" It's like saying "See? If we people don't swim, there are no drownings"and the Trump/Fox/the cult scream "There are no drownings! Let's swim!.../2

...perhaps the single greatest sign of ignorance is there "The virus is no big deal, let's go back to work." They seem to believe that if everybody is at work, shopping, etc. the virus somehow is gone. No, infections will explode. More people will suffocate at home because..../3

...there is no room at the hospital, the number of health care providers is dropping etc. If you end social distancing in the middle of the outbreak THE ECONOMY WILL COLLAPSE MORE. How can people not understand that? Do they think the deathly ill will show up to work? Do..../4

...they think if someone with COVID is bringing you your meal in a restaurant, you won't get the infection and infect everyone you know? Including all the people in your workplace? The problem is these people STILL dont understand that they can't just "power through it.".../5

...because this disease is NOT the flu. It's NOT a cold. It incapacitates you. People aren't going to the hospital with the sniffles. Care is not withheld because there is a mild cough. Lungs are being destroyed. Plus, the level of contagiousness is many multiples more.../6

...than the flu. The mortality rate is hundreds of times larger than from the flu. If everyone is hanging out together, more and more and more people will get sick. The healthcare system will be more overwhelmed than it already is.

This is NOT some democratic conspiracy.../7

...do these people have no idea what happened in Italy? Better yet, do they have no idea what happened in South Korea? SK is fine, it's economy took a short hit, but they contained the disease. How? They followed the advice of experts, not of some idiot and his cult.../8

...the red states are going to take the path of idiocy. You can see it coming. The death cult will finally get what it wants. But the rest of us will be locked down for many months to come because we are in the stupidest country in the world.
