W3/D1: I spent a mind-numbing amount of hours in the Zoomiverse today. I was finally able to get outside for a much needed walk. Aimlessly I sauntered through my neighborhood & was gifted this beautiful imagery capturing how I felt after all that screen time...thank you Universe!

For me to be in right relation with the Earth and other beings is to be in concert and not in competition. What would my life look like if I lived at the pace of walking? For me #WalkingAloneandTogether interrupts the speedy-busyness of American life and makes space for me...

work that is sometimes invisible and essential for dreaming towards liberated futures. However, I'm sometimes stuck in work that needs to pay the mortgage from a Before Corona (BC) world. But I'm determined to search for puddles and portals on this rainy night in Pittsburgh.

Ending my day swinging on the porch listening to the rain and wondering how we will deal with sorrow individually and collectively in this society. To love this life is to accept that grief is intertwined with joy. Grateful for the time to loiter with the water.

W3/D3: I took a different path today, and let curiosity carry me. Each image capturing some aspect of decay, time, hope, and beauty. #WalkingAloneandTogether

Some units of time ago, I came across this zine, Some Days Feel Bad, by @sarahmirk with a quote from George Saunders. As #WeWalkAloneandTogether and document are thinking, feelings, and lives privately+publicly, I deeply wonder how each of will come back to what we've created.

Note to Future Self: It will all make sense later...

W3/D4: Today was filled w/ the monumental effort to produce & execute the Teach-In for #EarthWeekPgh2020! I had the honor of emceeing the 4+hour event filled w/ poetry, wisdom, how-tos, music, panelists and stories of folx from SWPA...made possible by the invisible & beautiful!

"Ubuntu is a South African philosophy that declares our own well-being is tied to the well-being of others + the shared responsibility of our community is what binds us together + makes us human." What prevents us from living into Ubuntu? Scarcity? Fear? The Other? No Imagination

Questions from today's Teach-In for #EarthWeekPgh2020. I'm still struck by this quote about the American Dream from an article entitled Social Justice in a Time of Social Distancing. We are in need of news myths, storytelling, metaphors & dreams.

W3/D4: I am so tired today...

I was trying to be clever & get a cat selfie, but Rumi wasn't having it. The sun-kissed, slate ground welcomed my tired bones. Then George joined us. Joyful to be in the company of cats + a flirting Azalea bush + the sun. #WalkingAloneandTogether

W3/D6: Once again my shadow and I walk the night in amazement of all that has passed through me with my awareness. I am lucky and grateful that I have the opportunity to travel in spaces dreaming futurity and liberation. Wondering about Watchmen as I walk the night masked.

W3/D7: This assemblage of "reds" represents the walking journey btw #SpeculativeEd & #SocialJusticeSOS. Each of these events are the assemblages of wisdom and beauty and the signals to follow. As we #WalkAloneandTogether, how are each of you separating the signal from the noise?
